  1. Jeff Bridges was perfect. I saw it as a Vincent Price-type role for him and my respect for him as an actor is even higher now. Loved him. There was no hiding his villainy when he's made up to look like an Islamic version of the 60s Batman series' Egghead.
  2. http://www.superherohype.com/news/topnews.php?id=7160 Boxofficereport is estimating 85-89 million for the opening weekend. HO - LY FUCKBALLS! That's an opening night right there!
  3. I just got back and yeah...it fucking rocked! That was Tom Morello. I saw him in the credits, speaking of: if you stayed through the credits you got the tease of all teases too. Furthermore: Internet Quiz, Drunken Antics of Tony stark or Robert Downey Jr.?
  4. I'm not sure if it was supposed to add to anything except rounding out a universe. I liked it. I didn't pay much heed because I generally don't. What does the viral Dark Knight lead to except interest in the film, right?
  5. The viral marketing has already begun. In searching through the clues on the Cloverfield DVD, this site was uncovered: http://www.usgx8810b467233px.com/access.htm
  6. Empire drops a star for every film that is not British:) I'm seeing it tonight in my shitheap small-town theatre. Hopefully I can keep the savages away long enough to enjoy it!

I'd say you're doing just fine! I suggest Turbonegro for good ole fashioned "homoerotic cuz we're secure in our sexuality" denim-wearing rock n fucking roll. And also Nick Cave.
  8. I saw the trailer a week ago and my retinas are still recovering. I will not go see a movie like that. It's just fucking gaudy. Ick. Story doesn't matter if it's so offensive to look at. Terrible.
  9. Probably not http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Wn4iYoMcAA, though, huh? Could someone please explain to me why Blacklash doesn't have any... you know... black in his costume? The black is the waist down if you get my drift...
  10. Were you volunteering in some sort of state-run hospital at the time? It was a high school student.
  11. Someone asked me what the best movie ever made was and I said Jaws. They laughed and said that it sucked. I asked what they thought was the best movie ever made and they said Zoolander. Zoolander!
  12. Have you read "A Study in Emerald" by Neil Gaiman? It's a mixing of two worlds: those of Lovecraft and Doyle. It's a very good read, and, best of all, you can read it for free. Or Planetary (somewhere in the issues 13-17) covers Sherlock and the gothic monsters of the time in a spectacular way too. For that matter, have you read any of the Dauphin stuff that Poe wrote? He invented the genre of detective fiction with Murders in the Rue Morgue. Welcome, by the way.
  13. "Earth-2.net: Schooling your unruly ass." Indeed. I see a new tagline for the website! What's funny is, beyond the lovely lycra-clad sex goddess of my youth, I couldn't give two bits about a pistol for Buck Rogers. And yet, this is one of the most entertaining things I've read this year. Period. Why must you be so funny and talented? Why? Why don't you just stop haunting me? I hate you Dan Toland. Hate you.* *In the nicest way imaginable. Plus, I have the action figure of the robot dog buried somewhere in my old crawlspace.
  14. Anyone who says The Dark Phoenix Saga is overrated dosen't like good comics. Haha! Touche! I don't dislike it, I just get angry when people hold it up against stuff like Watchmen. Good but not in the same league.
  15. All I know of Carey's Marvel work is that he has yet to write an issue of an X-book that I have come anywhere in the vicinity of enjoying and he completely ruined Ultimate Fantastic Four and anyone who disagrees doesn't like good comics.
  16. Just like the Safeway's in Canada have nothing to do with those in the US. I see no need to get all worked up about the new Superman movie. I have a policy that is as follows: if I don't see Superman punching a robot/alien/monster at least forty times his size in the trailer, I simply won't watch it until it's on network television.
  17. That can't be right. I was a college sophomore when Bill Bixby died. Oh, fuck. I am old. Ha! If I remember correctly, he died shortly after an appearance on Arsenio Hall that I saw when I was a very young teenager. You are old. Yowza! I for one loved the first movie and chalk it up to the fact that people can't handle a Marvel Superhero film by a director who actually knows what he's doing. It's a beautifully made film Hulk Dogs and all. The bare thought of Liv Tyler being in any movie makes me want to put a gun in my mouth. But I loves me some Norton. So conflicted....Tim Roth is too coo to avoid as well...brain hurting, Abomination looking like high school gym teacher i have tried to forget...
  18. What he did was seek help in evading taxes from someone who got the blame. He got away scot free with three years. And he'll be gone no longer than a year and a half.
  19. A douchebag who makes millions a year and doesn't pay taxes deserves jail in my eyes. Unless he can prove it was done to him then he should get a lenient sentence but until then, fuck 'im. Snipes has never been anyone but a person who believes he's better than everybody else, which is what I've gleamed from interviews and meeting him on two occasions.
  20. Death Wish? <vomit sound> That's one of my favorite movies and Stallone has none of the qualities that Bronson did that made that film a masterpiece. Another Rambo film I can see.
  21. Correction. As a member of Dread Media Productions, you are now inclined to vote along party lines. Consider yourself excited for Midnight Meat Train.
