  1. The ballot remains open until the end of the year - we record on January 1st 2024.
  2. UPDATE: The November email hasn't materialised, but the Ep 100 MP3 has been received!
  3. In truth, I don't really know the full story of the Von Erichs. But if you have a Dark Side of the Ring episode devoted to the subject matter, it can't be good.
  4. Yo! Sorry to hear that - the email address remains the same but there's something behind the scenes that means that I don't get to access them directly and I get them forwarded from @Missy. Will refer this up, but as a rule, continue to either use the email address and/or the Facebook page (or both for belt & braces).
  5. With the posting of the last regular episode of the podcast for the year, all that's left is Episode 100. Not only a massive special, but the home of this year's Tomlinson Awards. Due to 2024 being The Year of Redux, and as we're openly canvassing your input as to which actors we revisit over the next 11 months, this year's write-in category is strictly for DIRECTORS ONLY. And without further ado, your ballot choices are as follows: Favourite Featured Actor Eddie Murphy Orson Welles Viola Davis Gwyneth Paltrow Ben Affleck Matt Damon Favourite Review Bowfinger Coming to America Dreamgirls Citizen Kane The Third Man Touch of Evil Ma Rainey's Black Bottom The Help Fences Shakespeare in Love Shallow Hal Se7en Chasing Amy Pearl Harbour Argo The Bourne Identity The Martian Good Will Hunting Worst Movie Covered *Same films as above* Best Feedback Christian asks about "the death of the movie star" Pandy's cluster emails of randomness Orgs' audio feedback for Ben Affleck Donovan's audio feedback for Ben Affleck Orgs' audio feedback for Matt Damon EDIT: Dan's background for Good Will Hunting. 6. As announced in Episode 98, 2024 will be a year in which we revisit up to 11 of our previous subjects on HAA. The stipulation of each brother not having seen the other's pick will be disapplied, therefore it will be 3 new films starring/co-starring the subject of the month, and not rereviewing the films picked in the original episode. We also announced in Episode 98 that the foundation of the Year of Redux will be, somewhat inevitably, Will Smith. With him picked, we have up to 10 spaces available for the Redux treatment. Whilst I have 2 other names in mind, and Pandy may have some of his own, the field is basically wide open so all suggestions are welcome for us to weight in order of which we want to revisit the most (no poll - we're not necessarily picking based upon what gets posted, but will use it as a steer). Potential actors are: Amy Adams Andy Serkis Angela Lansbury Angelina Jolie Anjelica Huston Anthony Hopkins Arnold Schwarzenegger Audrey Hepburn Ben Affleck Bill Murray Bob Hoskins Brad Pitt Bruce Willis Burt Reynolds Cameron Diaz Cate Blanchett Charlize Theron Christian Bale Christopher Lee Christopher Plummer Dan Aykroyd Denzel Washington Drew Barrymore Dustin Hoffman Eddie Murphy Elijah Wood Evangeline Lily Faye Dunaway Gwyneth Paltrow Halle Berry Heath Ledger Helen Mirren Hugo Weaving Ian McKellen Jack Black Jackie Chan Jamie Lee Curtis Jean-Claude Van Damme Jennifer Connelly Jim Carrey Jodie Foster Judi Dench Judy Garland Julia Roberts Julianne Moore Julie Andrews Kate Winslet Keanu Reeves Kirsten Dunst Kristen Wiig Laurence Fishburne Liv Tyler Maggie Smith Marilyn Monroe Martin Freeman Max von Sydow Mel Gibson Meryl Streep Michael Caine Michael Keaton Michelle Yeoh Mike Myers Morgan Freeman Natalie Portman Nicolas Cage Nicole Kidman Orson Welles Reese Witherspoon Richard Pryor Rick Moranis Robin Williams Rutger Hauer Salma Hayek Samuel L Jackson Sandra Bullock Sean Astin Sean Bean Sigourney Weaver Sylvester Stallone Tim Curry Timothy Dalton Tom Cruise Tom Hanks Uma Thurman Viggo Mortensen Viola Davis Whoopi Goldberg Will Smith Winona Ryder So, who would YOU like to see us revisit? And with what movies?
  7. Yes, you can help influence not only the film Pandy & I use as the joint review, but the homework we assign each other to plot the range of their career. As announced in Episode 98, our subject will be Will Smith. Again. The Year of Redux will see us take on ANY* Will Smith film, regardless of whether they have been covered on Comic Reel-ief, Pulp Diction or anything else. It will still be a pick from Ian, a pick from Pandy and a third movie, although the disclaimer of the other brother not having seen their sibling's pick is being disapplied for 2024. Pandy & I will take an executive decision on what makes the show soon so get your ideas in before then! *We won't be covering Seven Pounds, Bad Boys or Hitch. You're welcome.
  8. Yes, you can help influence not only the film Pandy & I use as the joint review, but the homework we assign each other to plot the range of their career. As announced in Episode 96, our subject will be Matt Damon. Pandy & I will take an executive decision on what makes the joint review by 10 November 2023 so get your ideas in before then! NB) We won't be covering Saving Private Ryan
  9. Jaws vs Oppenheimer The Evil Dead (1980) vs Army of Darkness The Shining vs Singin' in the Rain
  10. Emperor's New Groove (probably - need to rewatch both) Oppenheimer
  11. Half of it is Don talking about Macy Gray and "you people".
  12. Put me on the list! Not sure for what, but you'll think of something.
  13. Wait, I'm being lambasted for theoretically being unenthused about a hypothetical film experiment that I only read about seconds ago?! I like the idea....meanie....
  14. Yes, you can help influence not only the film Pandy & I use as the joint review, but the homework we assign each other to plot the range of their career. As announced in Episode 96, our subject will be Ben Affleck. Pandy & I will take an executive decision on what makes the joint review by 22 September 2023 so get your ideas in before then! NB) We won't be covering Armageddon, Daredevil, Shakespeare in Love or any DCEU movies he's in.
  15. Well, there's a Pandy-authored blurb if ever I saw one...
  16. I'll add it to the list of talking points....
  17. It's for this general reason that I am glad that Keith Lee, who was similarly affected by COVID, is being allowed to wrestle at his own pace rather than risk his health. And to make myself clear, in no way am I blaming WWE for Wyatt's heart attack or suggesting he wasn't looked after post-COVID - the "sloppy shop" criticism during the pandemic is separate & valid - it's just that long COVID is a thing and wrestlers need to be super careful as a consequence. Bray's death is obviously a tragedy and the tributes on Twitter (like fuck am I calling it X) show that he was a universally loved human being. His passing directly after that of Funk is a pretty hard blow for wrestling in the run up to All In.
  18. Safe to assume Fantasia 2000 is not something many people have watched (myself included). Singin' In The Rain vs Heat Blade Runner vs Alien My Neighbour Totoro vs The Dark Knight Silence of the Lambs vs The Shining Empire Strikes Back vs Raiders of the Lost Ark
  19. In Bruges vs Some Like It Hot The Princess Bride vs The Dark Knight Doctor Strange vs Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
  20. On topic: Fantasia vs LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring Being John Malkovich vs Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind The Wizard of Oz vs Fantasia Aladdin vs The Great Mouse Detective
  21. That sounds like there's a story there... Memento vs The Shawshank Redemption
  22. I think the Oppenheimer names you've listed are locks. I am going to watch Barbie as well, although my cinema buddy is booked up until sometime next week.
