  1. Hey quick question, what's going on with The Zeppos project now that Will is the co-host?
  2. Not sure if that was Pat's real hair for the episode, but this is a bit done close to the end of Pat's life doing a bit for a NJ public television station.
  3. Speaking of that. I'm sorry, but I've forgotten his name, Andrew maybe, but have you've heard from the guy in England, and his daughter (reason behind the bleepage in BOTI), recently? I don't think they've sent an email or mP3 since early in the Tom Baker run. Oh and speaking of mP3s, when is the Davison clip montage going to be in?
  4. So, someone I know in Florida is doing this project where he is helping raise funds for a project that the family of a special needs kid that he works with is doing. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dondarkside/help-a-young-star-wars-fan-with-special-needs-tell
  5. Admit it, you just chickened out of binging during Beer Bad! Seriously though, good luck with everything, hopefully Hannah and her new co-host can convince you to come on as a guest during epic episode coverages (finales, Serenity and that sort).
  6. Is the movie going to be part of the classic series (since McCoy regenerates in it), or it's own separate entity? The BBC considers it part of the classic series, so that's what we have it as. I'm going to send an email about this closer to the coverage anyway, but what about fandom? Clearly, as it does have McCoy, it has more connective tissue with the classic series and it took a while into Tennant's run for it to be accepted as connective tissue for the modern series. But one could make a case that because it was co-produced by Fox that it is just an oddity in between both series that just happens to be part of cannon. Kind of the way Paramount treats the Animated Star Trek series.
  7. Is the movie going to be part of the classic series (since McCoy regenerates in it), or it's own separate entity?
  8. Is there anything special planned for the 100th episode, or just proceed like the 99 that came before it due to the mapping out of the show?
  9. Well, good to see Mike is not alone in this one... http://davidrestal.blogspot.com/2007/09/is-master-war-chief.html
  10. Quick question, guess it's appropriate in this thread, but why does the BBC crank out Classic series episodes in Story form rather than Season/Series per Season/Series?
  11. Dan, quick question, going forward, how many stories are NOT on DVD yet?
  12. So Preston, you want the Savage Dragon gimmick to happen more often? I'd agree with you for the "oh shit that DIDN'T work" bit (Wait, you mean killing the beast really does return the sun?), but how long would you want to see the alternate reality/dimension/timeline/whatever before returning or restoring things back to normal?
  13. Saw there are negative complaints on that video's comments. Goes back to the rant Mike had a while back with internet comments, seems like people want say shit just for the sake of stirring shit. But this is probably the most silly reason to stir shit about. I mean, it's not like the video is celebrating the death of Matthew Waterhouse. Just the death of a FICTIONAL CHARACTER that was hated by most of the fandom, and with the bad acting of Waterhouse, it did seem more on the corny side and ripe for mashing up with a comedy laugh track.
  14. I'm LOLing at the thought of a bath being taken from someone because they can't use it any more!
  15. Any know what theme that end credits song is for?
  16. Uh Mike, I'm going to guess that it's a ko-ink-y-dink that Knockin' On Heaven's Door was used AFTER I noted Dylan's look on the Blonde On Blonde cover looks like Tom Baker's Doctor?
  17. This episode just popped up on my iTunes feed, and you had me worried there with those first words of it being somber in the description. First thought was "Wait, did a well known actor/actress/writer/etc from the show's history pass?" And then was briefly worried that the show was about to go into a hiatus or worse! Well played Simms, well played =
  18. Here is a Rogers Crazy Idea: Look at this classic album cover Short scarf and colors are all wrong, but hmmmmmm... Could Bob Dylan have been the 4th Doctor!?!?!?! =
  19. Great segment, well done! So Chris, any plans to go back and do the Hartnell, Troughton and Pertwee episodes as well?
  20. Not Who related, but it took a lot for me to say "it's not worth it" to someone posting "I'm not an American, so this means nothing to me" remark on a 7/4 America video. Something about YouTube just brings out the trollish, looking for a fight attitude in people. I don't think it's just people being snobs, I think they geniuinely want to start flame wars with other users.
  21. Guys, watch the second series premiere again. There is nothing there to explain why the Doctor is near death. You probably do need to see that the regeneration went somewhat bad during his conversation with Rose, and why she took him home. And yeah, I know I'm being too grumpy, but, unless I missed something, there isn't any bridge between the end of the first series and the start of the new one, other than the skit.
  22. Yeah, I probably should have researched Sliders before sending that email! Basically just knew it was about a group.
  23. BTW, am I the only one that wants an image of Statler and Waldorf from the Muppets with Mike's and Dan's faces Photoshopped over them as the cover art for these segments? Though not sure who should be which one =
  24. Mike, out of curiosity, couldn't you just give James or Dan or Des or someone else on the site the passwords and files needed to upload while you are honeymooning? Also, what part of California are you guys hitting up? I'm sure it will be loads of fun!
  25. Quick note, saw a YouTube video that combined the final scene here with the opening of the first Pertwee episode as the "regeneration sequence" and I know that they hadn't lined up Jon Pertwee when War Games was being made, but I think that could have made for a better cliffhanger. You see the Troughton get spun off in black and white, then cut to a color shot, for the first time, of the TARDIS landing on Earth, and then Pertwee falling out of it...CREDITS! That would be a nice send off to the season...or series as it were, with a nice taste of what's coming after the break.
