Dread
Call Me Lucky: holy shit. Almost two weeks without seeing a movie. I watched this today to learn more about a comedian who's really great. Directed by Bobcat Goldthwait, this is a story about Barry Crimmins who went from starting the Boston comedy scene (responsible for everyone from Steven Wright to Dana Gould to Patton Oswalt) to becoming the world's most important advocate for the eradication of online child porn circulation. It's a fascinating, beautiful, hilarious and completely devastating film to watch. Highly recommended.Feature Films: 174Documentaries: 14Short films: 8Rewatches:

Davedevil
The Peanuts Movie - Never really read the strip or watch any of the movies as a kid but I appreciate them more now. Adorable little movie. Animation's really good, and I like how they incorporate the comics into the movie. Donomark
CreedVery, very good film. If you're a fan of the Rocky film series, you'll love this. Every bit as great as Rocky Balboa, with the most intense fight scenes the franchise has ever had. Also serves as a massive love-letter to Carl Weathers. Dread
The Telephone Book: a sex comedy about a young girl who receive an obscene phone call and falls in love with the caller, so she sets out to find out who he is. dc20willsave
Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, Return of the Jedi: Watched all six, in that order, over the weekend. In the case of the original trilogy, we watched the Despecialized Editions which looked very lovely. All in all, I'm glad I watched them. Star Wars was my thing the entire way through Jr. High and High School. I've fallen out of it in recent years but I am really looking forward to the new one now. Also, watching them in the order helped me appreciate the prequels more. The narrative flows better.Feature Films: 101Direct to DVD: 5Made-For-TV: 2Repeats: 7Riff-Trax Assisted:

Davedevil
Godzilla vs Mothra - The 90s version. Ehh, it was entertaining enough. Bit surprised to see some bits from the original carry over, namely the environmental aspects and Godzilla being defeated. Mothra continues to be unimpressive, I really don't get how she's a classic monster. Battra's a bit cooler though. And yes, the 90s beam wars are in full effect here. Then again I'm not sure how Godzilla could fight two flying monsters otherwise.
