JackFetch
Hugh Jackman has officially confirmed that the third Wolverine movie will be his last time playing the role that he has owned in the X-Men film franchise. “This will be my last one,” Jackman said, point blank, when asked about it on the Dr. Oz show earlier today. “It is my last time,” he continued. “It just felt like it was the right time to do it. And let’s be honest, 17 years. I never thought in a million years it would last, so I’m so grateful to the fans for the opportunity of playing it. “I kind of have in my head what we’re going to do in this last one. It just feels like this is the perfect way to go out.” This still leaves it unclear whether or not he’ll be making an appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse, which opens before the next Wolverine, but he hasn’t been seen on set in Motreal so far. Either way, Jackman’s Wolverine has been the most iconic role in the franchise since he first played Logan in the original X-Men. The character was even used as the through line to bring the original and prequel trilogies together in X-Men: Days of Future Past. His presence will certainly be difficult to replace. The third Wolverine movie is expected to be released in 2017. http://comicbook.com/2015/05/07/hugh-jackman-confirms-wolverine-3-will-be-his-last-time-as-chara/
JasonC
Doesn't he say that every year or so?
dc20willsave
He's been back-pedeling but it really feels like it this time. Honestly, this really feels like Fox is about to try to reboot X-Men again soon but who knows?
JackFetch
I think this version of the Fox X-Men is coming to an end. I fully expect them to embrace what Sony did and partner with Marvel when they reboot.
Stavros
Come on, you know they're going to make Old Man Wolverine at some point. Or at least a version that the writers of Unforgiven can't sue them for.
Donomark
Was it not confirmed he'd be in Apocalypse? So will Wolvy 3 come out after that, or will he not be in that at all?
dc20willsave
Apocalypse is coming out in 2016, Wolverine 3 in 2017.

Missy
That is the first Wolverine movie I actually want to see. Also: Thread renamed.
Donomark
I've been over X-Men films for a while now. Aside from the first two and Deadpool, they all pretty much never get it right. Never saw Apocalypse. This looks absolutely awesome. It's perfectly shot, the tone looks perfect, Patrick Stewart looks great in it, and it screams Wolverine. Definitely seeing this
JackFetch
I just woke up and this is the first thing I see. I have tears. It looks perfect.
Dread
The International trailer is decidedly more R-Rated, at least in one final clip, pictured in the thumbnail below.

JackFetch
The official synopsis doesn't tell us anything we don't already know.In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are upended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.

You Know Who
Initially I thought the guy at 1:36 with slicked-backed hair might be Mister Sinister, but Wikipedia listed Richard E. Grant as playing someone called Zander Rice. Then again...
Missy
It just dawned on me that all of the guys with cybernetic body parts are the Reavers.

Missy
Nope, but that would be an interesting crossover.Wolverine and the X-Men have cyborg enemies called Reavers.
Donomark
I LOL'd in the R rated trailer when Patrick Stewart yells out "I'm fucking 90!" Still totally sold on this
JackFetch
This looks like it could be an amazing movie if Fox doesn't Fox it up. I'm glad they waited to focus on the girl.
teenalphabro
Yeah, I'm really hoping Fox doesn't fuck this up. Even I, someone who is getting really sick of adaptations, especially comic book adaptations, am looking forward to it.
