That looks like a mash-up of Peter and Miles' logos, but I'm hoping it means the return of Ben Reilly.

I'm hoping it means the return of Ben Reilly.

What I say after every single announcement about an upcoming Spider-man story since 1997.

Probably going to be another cop-out like the last time. Kaine and Peter teaming up or some shit. In spite of how much I like Amazing Spider-man these days I was still really let down by that last storyline.

I really hope they're not bringing Ultimate Peter back already.

Has there ever been a crossover between the Ultimate and Amazing universes? That, or evil!Peter clone.

When the Ultimate line launched, Joe Quesada was firm in saying that it would never crossover with the main Marvel Universe. So, to date, it has not.

The closest we've come is Marvel Zombies, which started in Ultimate Fantastic Four. From their they devoured other realities, before eventually landing in the Marvel Universe.

The Ultimate Universe popped up in the background of an issue of Exiles as well.

Maybe this will be Marvel's answer to Batman Inc. Unable to take over all the angst, and general crumminess of life in the entire Marvel Universe, Peter Parker decides to set up Spider-Man Inc. Where Peter will reveal that he has been financing Spider-Man through his research, and after work paper route, and shows other heroes around the Marvel Universe, who we've never heard of before, or appeared in one panel of Amazing Spider-Man back in 1972, that cracking jokes at villains expense is where the real fun comes from, and set them up to become the Spider-Men of their respective cities.

That's all fine and jim dandy but give it a few months and Mephisto is going to have so many marriages you'd think he was Elizabeth Taylor.

If you think about it, with the success of the video games stories, they may be doing a huge crossover with a couple of the Spidermans.

That will mean Marvel will have to do an event Siege of the Spider-Men! In which all of Spider-Man continuity is started again, in a brighter, shinier world, where no one will die for about three months.

The first posted has been updated with a new teaser image.

More and more, it's looking like a Marvel Universe / Ultimate Universe crossover.

Which I'm fine with. I mean, like the said Mike they said they wouldn't ever cross over but in roundabout ways they have. They're technically part of the save overall omniverse so it's not a big stretch like Marvel vs DC.

Miles meeting Peter would be great, especially at such a formative period for Miles. Being inspired by one Peter and then getting to meet another would be tremendous.

The first post has been updated once more, and this time it looks like we're seeing a more modern (RE: Marcos Martin) Peter Parker Spider-Man on there. That said, it could also be a Steve Ditko (RE: young) Spider-Man. Hmm.

Still looks like Ultimate but I'd honestly be fine with it if they did a crossover between current and 16 year old Peter Parker from the same universe. That could be very interesting.

The villain behind it almost makes me want to read it.
