RSS
Dave and Ian continue the summer of The Middleman. In "The Cursed Tuba Contingency," Wendy and The Middleman must recover a cursed tuba from an immortal survivor of The Titanic. In "The Ectoplasmic Panhellenic Investigation," a haunting of a sorority house leads to The Middleman having his body possessed by a nascent mad scientist. And in "The Obsolescent Cryogenic Meltdown," a robbery with a familiar MO leads to the revival of a Middleman from the 60s who struggles to coexist with his modern counterpart. They also discuss what Ian's smut threshold is, and Dave explains the phenomena of chap-hop. Mr Mockery
I thought you'd like that.
Stavros
Chap hop was funny, but I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking that a white man in a pith helmet and khakis adopting a predominantly black medium is a complex image at best. Kind of like if Elvis dressed as an southern plantation owner whilst stealing Rock N Roll. Good episode chaps. Running back through Middleman from my hotel room this week, just catching up with you now.
slothian
You and your exotic life! I'll bet you're living it up in the heady heights of Kidderminster or somewhere like that!
Stavros
Actually I've been in Washington the last few days but I've been working late, otherwise I'd have given you a shout to grab a pint. Next time.

As in Washington, Tyne & Wear?!? That'd be like me having business to attend to in Bath, and being too fatigued to travel any further! A pox on thee! My previous few evenings were totally free and in no way hampered by feverish HAA! editing! On topic, The Middleman is rather good, isn't it? Stavros
Indeed. I just wish it was on Netflix so I could casually push it on my housemates. The Palindrome Reversal Palindrome is flat out one of my favourite episodes of anything, especially as a Star Trek fan. Also, I can't believe Dave watched Andromeda. My Netflix had been pushing that (and all thugs Sorbo related) since I signed up but I never got past the hilarious cheap-ass ladders they use on the ship. It's one of those shows that gets the brunt of my rage at Fireflys cancellation.
Mr Mockery
People always say that about Andromeda but they were on completely different networks. Clearly enough people watched Andromeda or its network wouldn't have kept renewing it. Firefly want getting the figures Fox wanted for it (due in no small part to their arseing about with it in the schedule) so it got cancelled. Taking Firefly's cancellation out on Andromeda is like taking out your frustration at losing your keys on your cat. It might have been around when it happened but it absolutely nothing to do with what happened.
Stavros
Oh trust me, I never thought they were related, I blame every scifi how from that period that got a inexplicably longer run than Firefly. I'm bitter towards Stargate too, and I like Stargate! It's just that did it merit ten seasons and spinoffs vs Firefly. I'd trade that entire show for another season of Firefly.
