Donomark
I'm now a freelance writer for the Comics blog The Hooded Utilitarian, and have started my contributions with a short essay relating Superman to Atticus Finch from "To Kill a Mockingbird". Pan-dub
Good stuff! I do like it when old messages are placed into contemporary surroundings for new generations to appreciate. Last week due to a lot of children moaning about fake injuries (i.e. "I can't do PE because I hurt my leg" "Funny, you ran around on it fine during lunchtime play...") I told the tale of 'The boy who cried wolf' to a minimal response. Retelling it the next day wrapped up in a Minecraft tale of attacking Creepers and the response was immediate. Rjoyadet
I remember when I had to read "To Kill A Mockingbird" in school. I always imagined Atticus as Superman in disguise.
