Santa's not the only one with a naughty list this week, as Dread Media pays tribute to the burgeoning genre career of Ben Wheatley! First up, Desmond and Duane take on the paramilitary / pagan mash-up Kill List. Devil Dinosaur Jr. jumps in with the first of two Stay Scaries with a review of A Field in England. Adam and Luke join Desmond for a review of 5 Souls, a film that has nothing to do with Ben Wheatley but also contains a list of people to kill. Devil Dinosaur Jr. returns to discuss Sightseers. There's also tons of tunes this week: "Shitlist" by L7, "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" by AC/DC, "Chernobyl" by Blank Mass, "Leave My Soul Alone" by Mercyful Fate, "The Power of Love" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, and "Ritual" by Ghost. So I've just finished watching Sightseers, and I loved it. It's pretty much an unholy perversion of my hobby (minus the caravans. And the female companion. And the murders) and where it starts - the Crich Tramway Museum - is roughly 10 miles away from Fort Wilson in Derbyshire, where I'm typing from at the mo'. Whilst I listened to this episode at the time, I now know Duane played Frankie Goes To Hollywood, and Des's reaction to this was no less funny a second time around!

As for Ben Wheatley in general, I rented Kill List a couple of years ago, but I was hammered when I watched it and have pretty much forgotten everything that happened. Still, I'll be re-watching it at some point, although A Field In England sounds more like my kind of thing.
