Honestly, I prefer teasers like this, 'cause they get people speculating.

I don't why but it kinda looks like The Hood. Maybe Marvel will remember the character was making an anti-hero leaning before Civil War.

It's just too bad the book won't be worth all the speculation. it'll go 24 issues tops before being reset into Fucktacular Avengers or something.

If Marvel put some of their advertising budget into their editorial, then they might be worth a damn to me.

Agreed. The general shape seems to indicate it's The Hood. However, he's always holding a gun and this figure isn't. So maybe not.

How is that not clearly Spider-man? Hood doesn't move like that, and even if he did he has the big cloak thing which defies that outline, plus he always uses double pistols.

This is an acrobat, probably quite a muscular one. Spider-man or Venom in my opinion, or someone close to that style of movement.

Brubaker and Deodato? Buys.

I got it!

Dubs and I will write and star in a sitcom. Two guys on the road, constantly bickering about everything, but united in their disgust with Marvel. Let's make a pilot!

We can call it the Merry Marvel Barking Society.

I don't have a problem with that. 24 issues is four trades. They aren't adding titles they're replacing them. I'm not buying any more Marvel books that I was before. Really all that's changed is the writer on Dark Avengers has gone from Bendis to Brubaker, and they're putting out some advertising so people can speculate.

Its like people have a problem with marketing techniques designed to sell books. I don't get the problem here.

Spider-Man: Could be, but he looks too buffed. And I don't think that's his head.

Venom: Doesn't he have talons?

I'm wondering if it's Mac Gargan as Scorpion. It looks like there might be a tail there.

Exactly my feelings on the matter.

I have no problem with trying to sell comics. The constant barrage of bullshit in the place of actual good comics is what bugs me.

How am I supposed to give a shit when every year there's a press release detailing the shocking new line-up of a team that hasn't had the chance to leave a ring in the toilet bowl of the Avengers Mansion before being turned around again.

The thing is though, The Avengers have never had a stable roster. People are always coming and going.
