Wow - what a strange choice. I've seen Layer Cake and while a decent little film it didn't really leave me with the impression that the Director was set for Hollywood. This is a kind of Peter Jackson for LOTR move from the studio.

I think maybe Monica Bellucci is a bit to feminine (if you know what I mean) - someone like Torres looks like she could genuinely throw down while retaining her hotness.

If it was my choice I'd lean towards Gina Torres of Matrix/Alias/Angel fame. She's also got an in having worked with Joss twice.
