  1. I've only seen it once and am due for a rewatch of it, but I already suspect Some Like It Hot is better than Bruges, especially considering when it was made. The Dark Knight and Strange 1.
  2. Treat Williams better not have been the guy running around with the ice cream maker:
  3. Fantasia for both (though not by much and bearing in mind I’m one of its biggest fans) and Aladdin probably just edges out The Great Mouse Detective for me on the strength of its musical numbers, although it’s a close-run thing as well as a favorite vs best situation for me. Not seen Eternal Sunshine yet.
  4. I can attest to this fact. I rewatched Hook last year for @Donomark and I’s Peter Pan review and completely forgot she was in it.
  5. Looking over her filmography, there’s a lot to choose from the mid-to-late 90s but not a lot post-Iron Man where isn’t playing either Pepper Potts or herself. If you can’t double-dip between 1995 and 1999, then I’d suggest Emma (though there’s also Se7en, Sliding Doors, Alfonso Cuarón’s Great Expectations adaptation, Shakespeare In Love, and The Talented Mr. Ripley). For post-Iron Man (and the year’s worst film covered nominee), maybe Mortdecai (though you could also save that for the downward spiral pick of a Johnny Depp-centric episode). For the noughties, maybe Shallow Hal (which she’s described as a low point in her career) or The Royal Tenenbaums.
  6. Certain stories can have their rougher edges hewn off, have their endings changed, or even be completely rewritten and actually be better for it (see Pinocchio, The Little Mermaid, and pretty much every Bond film based on one of Ian Fleming’s novels). HOWEVER Donovan and I address this issue towards the very end of the review and he mentions his own example of it.
  7. Hercules (1997) vs Star Trek (2009) OR, if you've not seen that Star Trek film (like presumably @slothian)... Hercules (1997) vs Superman II
  8. Haven’t seen him in a lot of things, but he was almost always a welcome presence, including in The Rocketeer, Edward Scissorhands, and especially Little Miss Sunshine:
  9. Superman and Lois have been cast.
  10. RoboCop, Hot Fuzz, Manchurian, Jaws, and Rear Window. Still not seen The Thing.
  11. The Hunchback of Notre-Dame (1996) vs. The Dark Knight Rises
  12. Psycho, Fuzz, Towers. Can't comment on any of the others apart from Brazil.
  13. The Soundtrack Show by David W. Collins. An absolute most-listen for anyone who's enjoyed John Williams' music for Star Wars (hi, @Missy, @Dan, and @KnightWing!), along with his other key film scores (Jaws, Superman, Jurassic Park etc). It also has episodes (often in multiple parts) devoted to the music of Danny Elfman, classic films like Casablanca and Psycho, the themes of The Legend of Zelda (and Ocarina of Time in particular), and many more!
  14. Life of Brian, Hot Fuzz, and The Dark Knight. That said, I've not seen Ghostbusters for nearly ten years and have never been that high on it (and liked the sequel even less).
  15. Here's the final batch -- from Misty and da Boss to Mewtwo, Mew, and the original Angry Birds!
  16. Finally got to it today and enjoyed it immensely! I was pleasantly surprised that
  17. Here are sheets five through nine -- from Meowth to James! Enjoy!
