  1. The Jungle Book (1966) vs. The Sound of Music
  2. 😒 https://decider.com/2022/11/11/kevin-conroy-batman-voice-actor-dead-66/
  3. Only one of them has the silly Nazi scientist...but only the other one has sexual harassment from squirrels.
  4. For non-UK listeners or those not familiar with it, this what the episode description is homaging:
  5. The Sword in the Stone vs The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (Incidentally, this is less a reflection of my own Flickchart than just a general question. ASM2 somehow ended up being the most controversially ranked film in the latest FCF, judging from the feedback)
  6. Happy Halloween! Agatha and the Gastly line, the creature from the Cerulean lagoon, bad seeds, and more:
  7. My thoughts on the original will be in Episode 14, but I'm inclined to agree with both of you. That said, I'd love it be a covered if HAA! ever did a Glenn Close month. She chews the scenery like a starving shark that stumbled upon a whale carcass and she actually got herself covered in molasses and baked into a cake in its sequel, rather than having a stuntperson or CG double get subjected to it her place. Also, unlike most John Hughes I know of, there are no annoying teenagers.
  8. One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961) vs 101 Dalmatians (1996)
  9. Great special episode, folks! The tangent about was a very pleasant surprise. πŸ˜†
  10. https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-63261204?at_custom2=twitter&at_medium=custom7&at_custom1=[post+type]&at_custom3=%40BBCBreaking&at_custom4=C42292FC-4BE0-11ED-B7F7-9B0C16F31EAE&at_campaign=64 Shame he was a Rowling defender towards the end.
  11. Angela Lansbury dead at 96.
  12. I think there's more to the film than just her, but to hear why (or if you agree with Pandy, why not), give Episode 13 a listen! Blade vs. Men in Black
  13. Nah, just kidding. I like them both and @Donomark you're definitely not alone.
  14. Sleeping Beauty (1959) vs Batman Forever (1995)
  15. The original murder-hornet, Marowak's last stand (don't worry @Missy; I have further plans for Cubone), delinquent Ditto, and more! (More complete and to follow but holding off on revealing a few until around Halloween.)
  16. Good question πŸ€” I think taken on their own, Spider-Verse is the better film (plus it doesn't have a goofy-ass climax), but considering the first Superman movie essentially birthed the superhero film as a serious film genre, it probably tops it. Lady and the Tramp is also problematic on the diversity front (albeit through its presentation of diversity rather than because of the absence of it), hence why I paired it with Notting Hill.
  17. Louise Fletcher dead at 88.
  18. Hell hath no fury like a C-bomber from the East Midlands.
  19. Amen! He’s quite good in Pride, Peaky Blinders, and his one scene in The Death of Stalin as well.
  20. Incidentally, I'd love for someone to explain to me the hatedom of Phil Collins -- and by extension Tarzan -- before I get to that film on POYW. I'm ambivalent about him at the moment, but is the hate mainly the product of bitter South Park fans or is there more to it than that (like dating back to his band and solo career in the 80s and 90s)?
