  1. Two? You're being generous. Downey Jr.'s Stark is about the only tolerable thing in these movies.
  2. Well, I love the title and the logo. And there's a 0% chance I'm gonna see this movie.
  3. eh, hopefully it's not a Year One level disaster.
  4. I don't know how much this has to do with being old. None of us are part of the demographic her work plays toward. I've never heard of her but that certainly doesn't make me feel old. She hasn't done enough to be noticed by anyone outside of the (mostly) teenage, female demographic who watches her shows.
  5. I like it, Bryan Cranston would've been my first choice, but I like it.
  6. I mean the director's cut will be R, not the 'home video release' per say. The same thing was done with 'Wolverine.'

Yeah, mainstream hip hop dipped for sure with some truly terrible lyricists taking the spotlight. But I'll be damned if Kendrick Lamar isn't putting out some of the best music the genre's seen since the 90's. He's so good it's almost surprising he's gone mainstream. good kid, m.A.A.d city is a fantastic and absorbing story album, and then there's TPAB which is honestly a masterpiece, even if you have no interest in hip hop it's worth at least one listen through, if nothing else but for it's cultural relevance.

For me? 'To Pimp A Butterfly', if only for its top notch musicality combining hip-hop with funk and jazz, politically-sharp- if not revolutionary -lyricism, and of course the show stopping and seamless fadeout track featuring Lamar casually conversing with a long deceased Rap legend. Listening to it all the through is truly a trip and it's as strong of a hip hop album as we've had in recent memory. But nah, let's give it to the poppy 'Shake it Off' album. EDIT: On the other hand, we got this fiery live performance from Kendrick: https://streamable.com/nz4k

I'm gonna play Kanye West for a second here guys... So, not that the Grammys have ever had too much credibility when it comes to awarding musical excellence, but last night, Taylor Swift, easily the weakest nominee, won "album of the year" beating one of the most powerful and important albums of the decade. Kind of a bummer.

Others have joined him. Outright publicly conspiring against constitutionality, right? Is that treason? Fucking lunatics. Yes. This is absolutely fucking ridiculous. My dad called to vent to me about it today, he sounded angrier than he did when he caught me smoking in high school.
  11. Yeah, that description is pretty sour. It's cool that you were part of the audience though.
  12. Yeah are we criticizing his scripts or his films? If the dialogue is effective on screen then I'd say he pulled it off regardless of what actors he may have cast. Also you say he's made a lot of garbage but the only film you're overtly negative about is Death Proof, where's the rest? You seem to be criticizing Tarantino more for his deification amongst film critics than his actual work which, while admittedly hit or miss, is sporadically excellent with Jackie Brown, Inglourious Basterds, etc. Is Django's messiness is really enough for you to swear off his future work all together?
  13. It's nominated for five Oscars, FIVE. Anyone who's upset by that needs to find their way back to reality. As with many of your comments I must ask, why? Were you not a fan of Inglourious Basterds?
  14. Shit. Loved his music, I can't believe both him and Lou Reed are gone...
  15. Yeah, I've yet to see it but I've heard great things about Red State.
  16. Well when CW's masterwork, The Flash is single handedly ruined or even noticeably marked in any way by an established writer-director who has demonstrated not only competence for the craft but also a passion for the material, you can say "I told you so." How about that?
  17. Give him a chance to do something interesting without hating what he makes before he makes it.
  18. Sorry, why is this a bad thing? Kevin Smith is one of several celebrities that musters a entirely unnecessary amount of hostility, why? He's a decent, talented guy.
  19. Honestly, after a second viewing I've become even less forgiving of the film. I don't really feel compelled to criticize it here though.
