  1. it appears entertaining and probably too clever for its own good. I smell cult success with terrible box office and decent dvd sales. I had never heard of it and am now rather interested
  2. I actually had to look up the liscensing issues once for this a couple years back. the Ape show had nothing to do with the movies. But the ape show is why the cartoon that did jive with the movies was called the REAL ghostbusters.
  3. Like what? If I remember correctly there were three major points that drove me nuts about that movie beyond just personal preferences (like, common man, cut Cyclops a break... cuz they sure cut him a break in the third on, too; more bad dialogue spots especially with storm and nightcrawler). I'd have to watch it again to remind myself of them all but... The god machine style "death" of Jean when Iceman is chilling right there. They establish he is good enough to make big honkin' walls out of just the humidity, repairing several cracks in the dam shouldn't have been a big worry. I remember yelling at the screen (yeah, I'm one of those guys) "But Iceman is RIGHT THERE!" If I remember the other things or if it bugs me enough to go back and watch again I'll expand.
  4. I never expected it to actually happen. But we are fanboys, this is what we do. Let us dream, man! I live in a nerd-based hypothetical realm.
  5. new avengers is totally holding my interest. the lineup shows pretty much the same dynamic that the old New Avengers had and I loved it then. And yes, Spidey does work best with other heroes around. I love Spidey but I've never been able to get into his solo books because it loses that dynamic.
  6. I'll say yes, yes you are. I love the line-up. My initial response is to think that ronin is daredevil
  7. I thought two was generally a better movie than the first but I have some god machine problems with the second film and was (and still am) entertained more by the first.
  8. agreed. my mind just traveled to different ways to use the pke meter, ecto-spit, the traps, or even the containment unit. the basic mote/chuk is plenty.
  9. I was a little loud for that too. Part of me is screaming that the reporters' secret will actually help redeem Tony (not that the public really sees his image needing redeeming). Especially if Reg side pulls out the victory. That and I feel the "support tony" secret would be a big twist that these events tend to like.
  10. and my mind starts thinking of all the bonus gadgets the 'Busters use and how the Wii would make that hypothetical game even cooler
  11. It reminds me of a couple years ago when that guy made the batman/alien/predator short that everyone fell in love with. I think this is basically their demo to spark interest in both themselves and the game. It could be good though, cuz I would love a Ghostbusters game and this may spark market interest. I loved the old ones (even though the second wasn't a very good game).
  12. for real! I saw an ad for it and my heart exploded and dropped all at once. My sister and I worshipped this show as a kid. It was probably the top live action (puppets/muppets not counting as live action) show for us in our growing years. I am a little worried, though. They tried to remake it a while back and it was all very atrocious.
  13. I just got back from a winter vacation, I'm going to start my decisions now.
  14. Tartakovsky has control of Power of the Dark Crystal. This is the guy behind Samurai Jack and Star Wars Clone Wars series. I know alot of people could take or leave the first Dark Crystal movie but I find it very enjoyable much like Wizards and Labrynth is for me. Throw in that Genndy Tartakovsky is ridiculously good from where I stand and this movie will have me annoying my friends up until its release.

    Underdog

I just ran across two movie tidbits that really have me all warm and fuzzy on the inside. Underdog is coming out in August! My childhood rejoices! With Jason Lee to star.
  16. yeah, that would be the more logical and well-known response. I'll chalk it up to being raised nintendo. how about some two-character action (like Ice Climbers) featuring Boy (does he have a real name) and Blobert

    PS3 news

it just seems that the sony launch is going more and more poorly as time goes on. My current perception of it is much worse than I ever thought it would be.
  18. Are you saying Crash, as in Crash n' the Boys? Or is my mind just functioning in an odd way and missing the obvious? But Crash of n' the Boys fame would work pretty well. And the Bionic Commando. Maybe Little Nemo... I could go on forever
  19. it's been a rumor for years. The fact that Snake happened first kind of surprised me though. I'd like to see plenty of others, Megaman and Zero being on the top of my list.

    PS3 news

The best buy at my house had a sign taped to the entrance reading "Yes, we still have PS3 in stock"
  21. check out the aquaman episode guys, I played about three of them but that one made me laugh plenty
  22. everybody keeps saying this and it is just enough to tip me over the edge and want to see it. I'm not one of those people who were offended that they were making another, I've just never really cared all the much about the series. It is a great set of movies to catch on basic cable but I would probably end up seeing it in theatres with the good buzz coming out if I wasn't going to be otherwise occupied on a bike tour for the next two weeks
  23. A friend called me to tell me Stan Lee was on some new show called Identity. I turned it on just in time to see his identity get revealed. There are a bunch of people standing around and you have to match a factoid about them. his clue was "created spider-man." It was kind of neat, but I've already lost interest and stopped watching it.
  24. she was good in scooby-doo. And I enjoy Buffy despite Buffy being my least favorite character on the show.
  25. the helicopter scene is pretty fruggin' boss. That trailer looks alot cooler than I had ever hoped. Let's continue to hope the movie exceeds many peeps' low expectations as well. p.s. My Little Pony for the win
