1. This week on Dread Media, we kick off Folk Horror February with Desmond and Duane going in-depth on one of the foundational films in the subgenre: The Blood on Satan's Claw. Then Desmond goes solo on the foundational film of Severin Films' new Folk Horror box set: Kier-La Janisse's documentary Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched: A History of Folk Horror. He also dives into a Dread Media Top 5 Folk Horror Starter Pack Films. Even some of the songs have folk elements: "Satan's Child" by Danzig, "Children's Summoning" by Zeal and Ardor, "Witchwood" by Blood Ceremony, "The Devil Rides Out" by Carcass, and "Dark Horse in the Wind" by Primordial. 4. This week on Dread Media, Desmond and Tom squeeze one more holiday film in at the very tail end of the season because we didn't want to wait that long again to share the sheer insanity of Bruce Campbell passing the torch to Devon Sawa in 2021's Black Friday. Then Desmond does a Dread Media Top 5 Workplace Horror Films. All that, and songs too: "Strength Thru Shopping" by Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine, "Black Friday" by Faith No More, "Day's Work" by ASG, and "Girl in a Suitcase" by Lordi. Happy American Thanksgiving, I guess. [ 57:13 || 27.7 MB ]
5. After many a-setback, The Brothers Wilson finally bring you their final show of 2021, with our featured player being Rob Reiner. Coverage centers around his directorial helming of classic romcom When Harry Met Sally..., as well as his first stint in the director's chair for This Is Spinal Tap, in which he also co-stars. In addition to Reiner's career, the "January" episode also means that Ian and Pandy delve into jingles, George Banks, Christian Honore's Casting Challenge, outtakes, and The Tomlinson Awards. And just who will be the first two subjects proper for 2022? [ 2:59:29 || 86.5 MB ]
6. http://www.earth-2.net/images/front/dreadmedia_751.jpg This week on Dread Media, Desmond and Duane take in a viewing of the bleak and innovative revenge film Victims. Then, Desmond goes solo on the brand new home video release of Halloween Kills. Songs included: "From Victim to Killer" by Dry Kill Logic, "Victim" by Devin Townsend, "ALEEN HOWL" by Ulver, and "I Will Find You" by Whitechapel. 7. Great Scott and oh boy! Michael David Sims and Donovan Morgan Grant join Christian aboard the List and Shout Express through one of the most perilous yet rewarding avenues in all of storytelling: time travel. On this jaunt, the three men share and compare their favorite time machines, shake their heads and fists at the worst paradoxes and plot holes associated with the genre, and reminisce and rave about their favorite journeys through time. [ 4:04:23 || 119.7 MB ]
8. http://www.earth-2.net/images/front/dreadmedia_750.jpg They're short and obnoxious. But enough about the films. The monsters in the series are too. To ring in episode 750 (because, let's face it, these movies aren't a celebration of anything) Desmond and Tom review all five films in the Critters franchise. Critters, Critters 2: The Main Course, Critters 3, Critters 4, and Critters Attack! are on the docket today. But there's music to make them more palatable: "Mars Attacks" by The Misfits, "The Hunger" by Tombs, "Still Hungry" by Adelita's Way, "Bite Your Teeth" by Poppy, "Shadow Eaters" by Edguy, "Hungry Like the Wolf" by Reel Big Fish, and "Fur and Claw" by Thy Art Is Murder. 10. http://www.earth-2.net/images/front/dreadmedia_749.jpg This week on Dread Media, we ring in the New Year as the elders have foretold - by running down my favorite things of 2021! Join me this week for a titanic episode where I discuss my favorite books, comic books, television, podcasts, movies, and other random releases of the year. Listen to find out what they are! [ 2:23:48 || 69.2 MB ] [ download ]To listen, click here:

Songs included: "The Dreamthieves (acoustic)" by The Sword, "Surrounded by Thieves" by High On Fire, "Christmas" by Ulver, and "This Year" by Mountain Goats. [ 52:00 || 25.2 MB ]
15. In their most tangenty Christmas episode yet, Skyler and Will review Dolly Parton's Christmas on The Square. In between discussing Christmas cosmologies, questionable lyrics, and bad parenting in the film, they also find time to discuss Scream, the Christmas films of Ms. Parton, and Big Brother. [ 1:42:14 || 51.4 MB ]
16. This week's Christmas review is too big to fit in a stocking! In the longest review of a single film in Dread Media history, Desmond and Duane review each segment in the advent calendar-themed horror film Deathcember. And there are songs too: "December of Windsor" by Woods of Ypres, "No Presents for Christmas" by King Diamond, and "Silent Night, Deadly Night (acoustic)" by The Browns. Horrific Holidays! [ 1:32:11 || 44.5 MB ]
17. This week on Dread Media, it's covens and cults! First up, Desmond and Duane review 1965 film House of the Black Death, featuring John Carradine and Lon Chaney Jr. Then, Desmond goes solo on a Dread Media Top 5 Fictional Cults Across Media (not film). Songs included: "Into the Coven" by Mercyful Fate, "Paragon Belial" by Darkthrone, "Worship Me Like a God" by The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets, and "Cult Without a Name" by Danzig. [ 54:59 || 26.6 MB ]
18. The hosts of Hey, an Actor! have put pedal to the metal in order to squeeze in the listeners' choice for 2021: Tim Curry. This episode charts Curry's wide-eyed "and credit" performance in 1990s curiosity Congo, before heading back in time for his turn as Wadsworth the Butler in Clue, and, naturally, his breakout performance as Dr Frank N Furter in 70s rock opera Rocky Horror Picture Show. Ian and Pandy chart all this as well looking at his other roles as a clown demon, pirate leader, hotel concierge, and Satan. Along the way, we also find out the hosts' favorite Rocky Horror songs, which of them sustained a facial injury via hockey, and which of them got starstruck by Christopher Biggins. Also, THE TOMLINSON AWARDS 2021 ARE NOW OPEN! [ 2:20:38 || 82.3 MB ]
19. This is a classic jam-packed episode of Dread Media with an interview and two reviews! First up, we're joined by Josh Ruben (Scare Me) to discuss his brand new horror comedy film, Werewolves Within. Then, Des has some thoughts on Candyman (2021). Finally, Tom and Des try to make their way through Guimoon: The Lightless Door. Songs included: "If I Were a Werewolf" by Kyle Shutt, "Hour of the Wolf" by Tribulation, "Farewell II Flesh" by Ice Nine Kills, "Portal to Vacuity" by Aborted, and "Flower Moon" by Converge / Chelsea Wolfe. [ 58:12 || 28.2 MB ]
20. This week on Dread Media, Desmond and Duane love the new Shudder original film Jakob's Wife. Then, Desmond goes solo to pay tribute to the late former singer of Turbonegro with a Dread Media Top 5 Hank Von Hell Songs. Hank Von Hell and Anders Odden). RIP Hank Von Helvete. [ 1:02:13 || 30.1 MB ]
21. After a few months away, The Brothers Wilson return to look at one of the most prominent Hollywood actresses of the past 25 years: Angelina Jolie. Ian and Pandy look at early career milestone Hackers, her ascendency to household name status with Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, and her dramatic turn in Changeling. The episode discusses the cultural phenomenon of Lara Croft and its effect of adolescent males in the late 1990s, the early days of the Internet, the love life of Fisher Stevens, and the sheer misfortune of being directly related to Jon Voight. One film covered sees the brothers in perfect agreement, whereas another has the biggest divergence in opinion in quite some time. And there's one more full episode to go before Hey, an Actor! closes out the year, so Tomlinsons season is not far behind! [ 2:20:50 || 68.0 MB ]
22. This week on Dread Media, Desmond and Tom present a double feature of 1970s bear movies. First up, the quintessential Jaws rip-off, 1976's Grizzly. Taylor Barber, "Gift of Death" by iwrestledabearonce, and "Bears" by Nekrogoblikon. [ 1:08:07 || 32.9 MB ]
23. This week on the show, we discuss the banality of evil and the pull between God and Satan. First up, Desmond and Duane look at the sobering allegorical German film Nothing Bad Can Happen. Then, Desmond goes solo on the Satanic Panic documentary The Acid King. Songs included: "The Nightmare of Being" by At the Gates, "Christendom" by Paradise Lost, "One Ninety-Six" by Acid King, and "Sermons of the Sinner" by KK's Priest. [ 56:14 || 27.2 MB ]
24. This week on Dread Media, Desmond welcomes back filmmaker and comic writer Phil Mucci of Diabolik Films. This time, we're discussing the latest adventures of Professor Dario Bava: Orgy of the Blood Freaks #1 (crowdfunding now here), working with artistic legends and trying to launch a comic book in a pandemic. Phil has directed videos by some of our favorite bands, so we're playing some of those songs: "Fertile Green" by High on Fire, "Sorrow" by Huntress, and "The Duke (of Supernature)" by Monster Magnet.
