  1. Anime is a crazy medium. With its flashy colors, outrageous mannerisms, and the potential for an innocent-looking series to end up being a dark affair (and vice versa), it can be a pretty intimidating task for someone to get into it. The shows that make their way onto the basic cable channels are often your hundreds-of-episodes-long action series that are targeted towards teenage boys. Worse still, anime DVDs are not cheap. So unless money is burning a hole in your pocket, it's tough to justify buying a 13-episode series for $60. The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/columns/scrivens/a-beginners-guide-to-anime
  2. The Doctor and Jo find themselves helping a young King as he's torn between sticking with traditions and moving his people forward ("The Curse of Peladon"). Then The Master awakens the aquatic cousins of the Silurians in another attempt to destroy mankind ("The Sea Devils"). 5. In this episode, while covering the kung fu classic Enter the Dragon, Megan states the obvious ("This is a real man movie") and Desmond agrees. While the plot isn't too dense, Megan still wasn't paying attention. Newsflash! Desmond loves this movie. Megan's a little indifferent. She does say something about a window imported from Sweden in her attempts to understand why her husband wants to be Bruce Lee. And Megan says something that terrifies her husband. There's some serious domestic scrapping going on here folks! Plus, Megan gives out points to listeners who give feedback!
