  1. This week on Dread Media, our old friend Phil Mucci returns to talk about current events, George A. Romero's late zombie films, and how the music video he shot for Huntress led to his new graphic novel Murder Vibes from the Monster Dimension. Rounding it out is some of my favorite music of the year so far: "The Ugly Truth" by Kirk Windstein; "All the Bad Men" by Psychotic Waltz; "Take On Me" by Posehn feat. Jill Janus, Rob Cavestany, Chuck Billy, and Steve Souza; "Logic Ravaged by Brute Force" by Napalm Death; as well as a listener submitted reading of "Alone" by Edgar Allan Poe by Kris Vangalis. 4. This week on Dread Media, try to take your mind off of the global pandemic with us as we rejoice in the insane spectacle that is the live concert film of German Industrial Metal titans Rammstein. Desmond and Darryll stumbled upon this masterpiece as they are left agog after a viewing of Jonas Akerlund's Rammstein: Paris. Then, Desmond runs down his favorite Rammstein music videos in a Dread Media Top 5. Finally, Tom keeps the weird German train rolling as he takes a look at Roland Emmerich's bizarre early film, Making Contact (or Joey, depending on where you live). Songs included: "Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen," "Mein Til," and "Deutschland" all by Rammstein, "Delicious Demon (Life's Too Good)" by The Sugarcubes, and "We Like to Party (Vengabus)" by Devin Townsend, Anneke Van Giersebergen and Che Aimee Dorval. Then, on top of that, Tom Deja swings by to review Invisible Man. Of course, there are tunes: "Metal Gods" by Judas Priest, "At the End of the Road" by Murder by Death, "Invisible Man" by The Breeders, and "Valhalla Rising" by Grand Magus. Visit Brian at www.briankeene.com. [ 55:35 || 26.9 MB ]

  7. After an unexpected break that was Dave's fault, Dave and Ian are back with their firs show of 2020: Automan from 1983. They are joined by Dan Toland to talk about the pilot episode, where nerdy police computer expert Walter Nebicher creates a sentient hologram called Automan in order to fight crime. Walter and Automan are soon put to the test when Walter's colleague, Lt. Jack Curtis, goes missing while investigating the disappearance of several scientists. The trail will lead them to Switzerland, where Patrick Macnee is up to no good. On the way they discuss how much Switzerland looks in no way like California, debate how many people Automan kills along the way, and ponder on whether it is possible to waste the talent of Doug McClure. 8. Finally sinking their collective teeth into a modern Hollywood A-lister after many a month, The Brothers Wilson set their sights on Captain Slurry himself: Sylvester Stallone. Ian finally watches Stallone's cinematic calling card in Rocky, whereas Pandy finds himself watching Demolition Man. And both end up watching The Expendables for the first time. This episode will namecheck numerous towns from the West Midlands of England, whilst Ian names his favorite comedy film of the 1990s, and Pandy introduces the first instalment of his uncalled for segment "The Year of Hemmings." Then, Tom reviews Cats Kill. Songs included: "Crazy Cat" by Helloween, "The Hair Song" by Black Mountain, "Those Cats Kill" by Lola Lynch, and "Temple of the Cat" by Ayreon. [ 54:47 || 26.5 MB ]

  13. The new decade begins as any new year on Hey, an Actor! begins, with a comedic actor. Namely Kristen Wiig. The Brothers Wilson step up to the task of examining the highly controversial version of Ghostbusters (2016), before settling into the more standard fare of Wiig's cinematic breakthrough of Bridesmaids, and her more dramatic turn against SNL co-star Bill Hader in The Skeleton Twins. The hosts also use their time to discuss graphic alternative methods of vasectomy, confiscated toys, and obscure UK puppet show Bug Alert. [ 2:49:14 || 183.8 MB ]
