I'm the biggest Barker fanboy there is. He wrote the original treatment of the script (is what the article doesn't mention) and has fully endorsed the film. I've also heard very good things about "Inside," its on the festival circuit and is done by these guys. It seems that excellent European directors are relegated to remakes when they come to America (read: Aja).

Yeah, except that he'd be in a mask for 90% of the movie. I'm sorry, but if they are seriously making an Ant-Man movie, then they damn well can make a Deadpool movie. I'd have to disagree there. Ant Man is more viable because its a marketing dream. Plus it is a lot easier to pitch: "Imagine if "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" met the Incredible Hulk. Done. Deadpool would be so neutered if brought to the big screen you wouldn't want to see it anyway.

Reason one and only for Deadpool movie not being made: It is an action comedy based on a character whose face is scarred beyond recognition. You can't sell a burn victim heartthrob to teeny-boppers and expect them to bite. It's not a moneymaker.

I can see Common as John Stewart. Adam Brody as Flash? I could probably see that too. I first thought of Adrian Brody instead of Adam and had a huge groan. So maybe my acceptance of Brody is based on the fact that he's a much better choice than Adrian. I still think Ryan Reynolds is made for that job...

I loves me some Previews episodes! While i agree with you on Saw (so much potential) I firmly disagree on Hostel. I think it is actually quite a finely crafted film with just as much "quiet" dread and terror as there is gore. I agree with Jenny: Hunter sucked. Yes there were 3 Darkman films. The third is called Die Darkman Die. Yes, it is...I love the first one too. I don't like Raimi much at all but Darkman gets me somehow.

I'd have to disagree with those who are liking the animation on New Frontier. I think it looks awful. I saw the trailer at WW Chicago and was totally unimpressed. This should be the one where the animation looks exactly like the book but in this case it misses the mark totally. I'm not sure if this trailer on S/D is the same but if it is: Not excited.

The only way this works for is that it was all a dream and we end up seeing him die at the end of First Blood.
