  1. Ra's has always been a character that easily averts death time and time again, although in Batman Begins the idea was that he died, there is always a chance of an explanation for his survival. It would be a nice closure to the trilogy if Talia made an appearance because if Ra's started the series it should end with a connection. When I first heard about Joseph being in the film two characters I thought of was Dick Grayson(which is now a rumor that may come to be true)or more so Albert Falcone, The Long Halloween has played a huge part in the inspiration for this trilogy, so it would make sense to have this character in the film. The film could start with Batman already investigating the Holiday killings and having to avert the police who maybe thinking he's the actual killer.
  2. Two new links featuring a new poster http://omg.yahoo.com/news/first-photo-from-the-amazing-spider-man-official-title/56378 http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110214/ap_en_ot/us_film_spider_man_title
  3. Wow, I just watched the new episode and wow, I didn't think the series could be saved, Disney roughed it up so much. I'm very impressed. Now, first off, I'm 28 years old and absolutely LOVE the original series, from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers until Power Rangers In Space, I was glued to the screen whenever the series came on. As a child I knew how campy the show could be and how "lesson heavy" they can be as well, but the fight sequences were awesome and the Japanese footage, although grainy and old looking was impressive(as a child anyway). I watched a little of Lost Galaxy, but began to lose interest as the connection started to begin to loosen from the original series. I would continue to watch team up episodes for a few more seasons and did managed to watch Dino Thunder(which of course featured my favorite Ranger, Tommy), but ultimately the way Disney handled the series was a disgrace to those who were trying to stay a loyal viewer, replacing physically skilled actors, for pretty face non-actors began to really stop the shows credit as a series to keep watching. It also hasn't helped that all we get are "Best of..." DVD's featuring Disney related Power Rangers episodes, but I have managed to find the series I love so much on youtube. OK, now that my history is up here, lol I must say this new series brought a new smile to my face, the opening theme is clearly a homage to the original series as its a remixed version of the original theme, with a new singer(I do miss Ron Wasserman though), right off the bat Saban is telling us this will kick ass and they care about us fans, old and new. I than see the opening scene and while we do get the typical "lesson" scenario, its not smacked n your face and we really don't have the whole episode constantly reminding us of this "lesson. " I really like that, it means we won't have that too much. The biggest smile I got of course was seeing Bulk(played again by Paul Schrier)returning. Now to those who don't know Paul Schrier hasn't really left the series for long period of time, while his Bulk character hasn't been seen since 2002's Wild Force, he has directed and voiced plenty of episodes for the past 18-19 years. The sad part I see is that we are given Spike, the badly imitated son of Skull, whose actors probably couldn't return for personal reasons(hopefully we get a cameo at least). Now the other thing I noticed was that Saban has brought in what seems to be a bigger budget to the series, we are not just given Japanese footage mixed with American filmed footage, we get the special FX and no grain, unlike the original series. All in the all the series shows promise, of course this series may creep up with some camp later on, but this is targeted to kids and young teenagers, so as a 28 year old I can't be too harsh, its not made for me. I still have my series, but its nice to see the franchise back in the creator that loves them again. Thank you Disney for letting your grip go
  4. Nope, even when the series has high ratings the networks and the people involved don't push to keep going.
  5. Ahh, well that's what made the animation in those days so great, the imperfections, made it great to watch over and over again, too perfect is boring, but like I said this series is growing on me
  6. Well Bruce Wayne is the owner of a multi-billion dollar business and Metropolis is a town that helps to run a lot of businesses, so I'm not surprised to see him there. Its just one of those convenient times for him to be there when a disaster happens, but still. Also, when I saw the map, it looked like Gotham was right next to New York, in a way that its a part of New York, but I'm terrible at geography. The animation felt a bit weird when the series first aired, growing up with the DCAU I got used to the old fashioned hand drawing animation. I know the Justice League and JLU were CGI a bit, but you still had a hand drawn look at times, this to me had a full CGI feel. But now the animation is starting to grow on me.
  7. Well, I've just started watching the new episode "Schooled" and just loved its opening, the homages to Superman: The Movie and Batman(60's TV Series)was amazing. I am really enjoying how they are not depending too much on the Justice League appearances to help carry the series. The scenes they are involved in are great, but we don't see it in every episode. Superboy once again is going to be a subject of focus in this episode, which is fine to me, I feel like the first season is mostly about Miss Martian and Superboy anyway, since they are the outsiders. However, it does seem like Superboy has an on and off switch when it comes to being angry and being a bit more civil, in the last episode he seemed calmer, in this one he is more filled with rage than before. I liked how Amazo was presented, different from the JLU version, the only thing I didn't care for was him naming the heroes he was accessing, just a little gripe, nothing that kills any perception of the character. The team's teamwork is beginning to get better, with Superboy basically being the weak link at this moment, however it does seem like an opening arc has started with Clark not willing to acknowledge Superboy as a person or as apart of him. Its funny to see Bruce be a bit more compassionate than Clark, its always usually the other way around. It helps to make Clark more human. Overall, I think the episode worked out pretty well, its becoming more and more of a favorite, its really the only Cartoon Network program I watch, so its nice that its worth the time. 3 out of 5
  8. It seems like they are just forgetting about airing them here. They will probably add it to the final box set as "Unreleased Episodes" as a way to sell it. I was really looking forward to the Scooby-Doo thing. I was just checking out wikipedia and I noticed that there is going to be a third season(the last two episodes are part of season 2). I'm a bit confused since I thought Young Justice was made as a replacement. I hope this is true and we get two great DC shows. That would be awesome Here is a link to that news, but it was released in 7/2010 http://tv.ign.com/articles/110/1108206p1.html
  9. Oh well I posted it cause many were asking who she was or where she had starred in, I thought it be easier to know if they saw one of her more recent roles
  10. Here is Anne Hathaway as the White Queen in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland
  11. Well I unerstand why they would get annoyed with it, its not always 100% correct, so any info on there you have to be cautious about. I use the DCAU Wiki for when I do my commenttaries
  12. Umm, I actually like the costume, lol. I mean the last suit looked so fake that even when Brandon wasn't a CGI character he looked fake. I'm not sure if this is a spoof thing or not, but I'm ready for a new Superman film, hopefully David Goyer doesn't go overboard with trying to make the film too dark, just make the characters more human, like how Richard Donner did. The problem I have with SR, was that the characters were fake, they didn't feel real and their acting felt forced.
  13. A Death in the Family Under the Hood Volume 1 and 2 in trade paperback are available also. There's also references to The Killing Joke
  14. I think him and MM are a common element on the series, both are in a world they don't know and have to adapt too, the only difference is MM is dealing with the change in the best way she can, while Superboy deals with it by being by himself and not wanting to let anyone get close to him, we have to remember, he's a clone who was put under someone's control, its gonna be a while before he can learn to trust anyone. Wally is another character I love, he makes the show more lighthearted.
  15. I have a feeling MM will be the character that the writers are going to focus on as a growing character, someone who starts off not knowing a thing about being a hero or part of a team, but than slowly grows into a great team member(like Martian Manhunter in JL). I love Superboy, he's like a teenager on steroids, lol
  16. Yeah sorry about that, I didn't notice that, I took it as a rumor anyway, but I figured it was post worthy
  17. I thought the episode was alright, it helped to establish the teams continuing doubt about why they are there and what the Justice League really has planned for the team. Is the voice actor for Red Tornado; Terence Stamp? It sounds like him.
  18. TOM WELLING AS SUPERMAN IN JLA FILM http://www.beyondhollywood.com/tom-welling-is-superman-motion-capture-for-jla-movie-update/
  19. I don't know how I feel about Hatheway portraying Selena Kyle, Nolan seems to have been great with his choices, so I have faith in his casting, but I still will have to see. Hopefully we won't have Catwoman in this film, it would be a nice cliffhanger of sorts to introduce her character and than leave us to see what the new director will do in the next installment(hopefully we won't have another incident like with Billy Dee Williams turning into Tommy Lee Jones). I am excited to see Bane in the cards, I know with the writing style of Goyer and the Nolan's his will be the Knightfall Bane we will get, not a stupid brute. It does make me wonder if Talia will be in the film as a sort of love triangle for Bruce. It be a smart thing for the studio to keep that a secret until the film comes out. With Batman being an outlaw it would be a perfect way for Talia to try and manipulate Bruce to go into the dark side of his world, Selena could be the opposite, the one who keeps him wanting to do right(this is before she becomes Catwoman I'm sure). The titles Rises could mean him RISING above his demons and finally being able to accept his life and go into a new era in his crime fighting lifestyle(with the first film of the new series having a young Dick Grayson, since it'll be a new director I think it would be time, Nolan could always stay on as producer)

  23. Well I am excited for the film, it looks like they took Ryan Reynolds familiar joke like personality and made it work, I still think it would have fit Wally West/The Flash character better, but the film looks good. I'm not incredibly keen on the heavy CGI the trailer is showing or the CGI bright suit he is wearing, it looks faker than Brandon Routh Superman suit. I'm also not looking forward to the 3D, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt
  24. With Smallville coming to an end its great to see a fan who loves the series as much as me and has taken it upon himself to review EVERY episode of Smallville, so far he has only done about 13 episodes and is on hiatus due to computer problems, but he has stated he will be back. Check it out: http://spencerbedlam.com/index.php/smallville-fanatic
