Expecting twelve to fifteen inches of snow out here over the next two days. Yep, it's winter all right. *bundles up preemptively*

So, I got hired at this holiday job, did my training, hoped I would get hours. So far, I have one call-in shift on Saturday (which I'm betting I won't be working), have had a call-in for Black Friday that I was not needed for, and nothing besides that. ... Stupid overhiring.

Playing through Subspace Emissary on Super Smash Bros Brawl; just got to Subspace. Also, have tried Brawling online, but I have something of a crazy lag. Though maybe that'll fix itself one of these days.

Oh god, this should be really good. Also, morbidly curious to know how the Edward thing turns out. xD

See, I actually tried to read it. I only made it through the first book before the awful portrayal of relationships and the bad writing made me physically ill. And then I heard about the fourth book. And then I think I went into a coma for a bit. So, I think to some degree, I think I get to criticize the phenomenon.

Knowing only generalities about Waiting for Godot, but having a fair grasp of the Cthulhu mythos, FUCK YES SIR. Let me see the script at some point!

Watched Rosencratz and Guildenstern Are Dead today on YouTube (the one with Gary Oldman and Tim Roth). May have to track down a physical copy of the play like I did with Arcadia, and definitely need to see it in the theatre at some point. Also, Tom Stoppard is probably one of my favorite playwrights ever.

I'm intrigued, and since I'm more or less going to be stuck in the house the next few weeks, I'll probably end up watching this. Plus, Kathy Bates and Tim Curry. Why not?

Yeah, her parents were both puggles, and she got more of the beagle side; she's got a pug face and tail, but her body is all beagle, as are her markings, and as I've said before, she's pretty damn smart (as in she's already figuring out toilet training three days after we've gotten her). Yeah, she has a tendency to melt your damn heart like that. Nope, she's ours, but her brothers and sisters are still for sale next door.

She's Stella, pug/beagle mix (mostly beagle, especially in the intelligence), ten weeks old.

In a random aside, watching these Disney movies when you're in college with your middle-school-age sister makes you realize how dirty about half of these movies are. It's becoming a fond habit of my sister and I.

I was actually satisfied with the original ending, cause I saw it as the mental view of what was going on during Instrumentality. End of Evangelion expanded on what was actually going on, and gave more context to the psychologicalness of Eps 25 and 26. I've seen the first movie of the Rebuild, I'm not quite sure what to think, as it just felt like a recap with a few major plot points moved up that don't really make that much sense where they are currently. Don't know if the second one's been subbed as of yet. Interested to see what they do.

Dear Holiday Job: I signed on assuming I would actually get, you know, hours. One call in on Black Friday and another call-in next Saturday with nothing inbetween does not count as hours. Really hoping it snows soon so I can at least work my other seasonal and far-better-paying job, ~Hannah Also, my rec, Mike? I mean, what pisses me off the most about all of this (and part of this may be stemming from the fact that I have lady-parts) is the fact that they're giving MJ a baby in the first place, regardless of who the father might be. Quality does not matter to the TwiHards. They just want their ZOMG JACOB or ZOMG EDWARD. Never mind how crazily unhealthy the relationships in this movie are, ESPECIALLY this particular installment. (I have little sisters, this is how I know about Twilight.) The only thing these movies are good for are drinking games that will leave you passed out by night's end. Which I've still yet to do. (Also, I hates them because they're ruining perfectly good artists like Muse for me by adding them to the soundtrack. The fact that it was released on my birthday doesn't help much either.)
