I've been vocal of my dislike of Iron Man 3 before so this was almost always going to be a loss for it. Maybe Iron Man 2 would lose.

Voting for Thor because I think I have less issues with it.

About halfway through and I find myself agreeing with Ian more than anyone else. Who knew?

I brought it up a couple of years ago. The question comes what you consider the cut-off, namely just theatrical releases or do you include Straight to Video and Made-For-TV releases as well. As a guy who thinks about Muppets on a regular basis, I understand having opinions.

I've been lucky enough that my workplace has been largely closed to the public for the last few months. I was mostly just listening to music for the first couple of months but been doing more podcast listening in the last couple. "Jay and Miles XPlain the X-Men" has been my go to for Mondays even before the Pandemic started. They just wrapped up their coverage of the Age of Apocalypse so now it's covering the slow, exhausting road to Onslaught. "Musicalsplaining" is a podcast where Video Essayist Lindsay Ellis and her friend Kaveh Taherian talk about musicals. She likes them, he never cared for them. Its funny. Since Survivor isn't going to be back in 2020, I've been listening to a lot of retrospectives on the series and Social Strategy games in general.

I will say, I personally have maybe one tough choice in all of Round 1 and that's only because one match-up has two films I really don't care for one way or the other and I doubt either make it past Quarter finals anyway.

Avengers: Age of Ultron: Oh boy.... Ultron is an alright villain but, despite Spader's best attempts, never all that threatening. So much of the film is trying to set-up what's coming after while barely trying to focus on itself. Hawkeye and his family are the one nice part. I like the section on the farm. The rest is... pretty meh at the best of times. The moment of Widow declaring herself a monster for being unable to have children can go burn in a fire. Best In Show: I needed something to wash that out. Christopher Guest's always hilarious mockumentary is where I went. I occasionally need to decide which of them are my favorites. Yeah, the closest we get is in A Very Brady Sequel where a conman impersonates Carol's missing husband after causing him to get marooned while on an archeological trip. The 90s films exist in their own continuity but, based off of this, Carol is still an unintentional bigamist because her husband is The Professor from Gilligan's Island. The 90s Brady Bunch movies are brilliant!

There are so many pilots I keep waiting to get leaked out. A part of me thinks it would be fun to do a segment where the hosts watch a pilot that never went to series, try to figure out where the series would have gone, and decide if it should have went forward and what show it should have replaced. I always heard of Greatest American Hero. It seemed like a fun show that I just constantly missed out on. I'll definitely check out the pilot sometime. A few stray thoughts I had based off of some of the side-conversations that went on during the episode: Something I never put together until the topic of, "Taking three steps than leaping to fly:" In Super Mario 64, the Wing Cap activates after Mario makes a triple jump. When talking about divorces in TV shows of the 70s and 80s, Vivian Vance's Character on The Lucy Show was the first regular divorced character on American Television. Carol Brady's Former Husband is never mentioned on The Brady Bunch and Sherwood Schwartz, the creator, always thought of Carol as a Divorcee. Maude on Maude had been married Four Times with two of those ending in Divorce.

Chef: After watching The Chef Show on Netflix and hearing praise before, mainly from Binging with Babish, I decided to finally dive in. I love it. Tons of great food porn, great acting, some great cameos, it's a great movie. Guardians of the Galaxy: There are so many actors who show up in this film for like five minutes and then disappear. Agreed. The only downside is how rushed Season 4 was. It feels like they were planning for a Season 5 (see the 65 episode Syndication rule) and then got news to wrap stuff up so we have a break-neck rush to the end.

Y'know what, I like it. We still have a Queer Actress in the part and another show on The CW that is anchored by a person of color. I am pretty excited to see what they do!

On the note of the Mr. A/Arcade connection, that does get followed up in Uncanny X-Men#145. I am so happy to see Earth 2 in 1 back! Always a fun segment!

I only got around to listening to this today. First off, How DARE you continue to call me out over watching The Holiday Special! It's not like I have voodoo dolls of both of you set-up in front of a TV where I leave The Holiday Special playing sometimes while I'm at work or out of the house for a few hours. Mostly kidding there. So, something that came to mind when listening to the episode was about the Luke and Biggs at Toshi Station scene. I remember that for the longest time, the internet was convinced that the scene has been present when Start Wars was first broadcast in the early 80s on Television. People had vivid memories of the scene, could describe it, and it lined up perfectly. While this sounds weird, it is a common practice for a movie to either take out scenes to fill the broadcast time or add deleted scenes in if they don't have enough to fill a timeslot. This was accepted as reality until around I think it was the Special Edition when someone actually dug up a VHS copy of the Broadcast and, sure enough, it wasn't there. Turns out, it was a combination of kids having read Star Wars #1 and a Star Wars Story Book that had stills from the movie and then remembering it a certain way when they talking to a bunch of strangers on a Usenet. The Mandela Effect in action, y'all.

And I bet he looks phenomenal with a purple bucket on his head!

Dark Horse could last. They still do a fair bit of liscensed stuff including some Disney Stuff that they don't do through Marvel. Also the collectables and big, over-sized art books will keep them going in the Bookstore Market for awhile. Direct Market is more iffy but they're not completely dead yet. As for the Alien/Predator stuff, now might be a good time to pick up any of those collected books before they go out of print, especially the crossover stuff with DC..

I never actually said if I liked it or not I just realized. It's a visually interesting movie. There's a scene transition early that really caught my attention. It is a smidge long but I really liked the dread they conveyed in a horror film where that are few to no dark scenes. It's a break-up film framed as a Folksy Cult Slasher Film.

I was born in Montana but we moved to Northern Ohio when I was 2 because that's where my dad was from. I have since moved to Dayton, Ohio which is in the Southwestern part of the state. What makes your state special/different to others? Ohio is in an interesting place politically. No Republican has ever won the presidency without winning Ohio. Our state is also the birthplace of both The Wright Brothers and Thomas Edison as well as 7 Presidents which is the second highest after Virginia. In addition, Ohio is one of the prime example of The Midwestern Dialect which is that incredibly generic accent you hear in every movie because of how unremarkable it sounds compared to if you nudge a little south, a bit to the east, west, or north. What local foods is your state known for? First off, you have the aforementioned Skyline Chili which is... something. It's basically a hearty meat sauce with cinnamon and spices that is commonly eaten over Spaghetti or Hot Dogs. It's an acquired taste. Then you have Buckeyes which are balls of peanut butter that are dipped in chocolate. Not completely native to Ohio but it is named for our State Tree. What special buildings do you have? Dayton is home to The United States Air Force Museum which houses many historical planes. We sadly lost our bid to get a space shuttle but oh well. Ohio houses The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. We used to have a building shaped like a Giant Basket in Columbus because it was dismantled. No appreciation for kitsch.

He was an openly gay director during the 80s when that just didn't happen. He made some very watchable films. He gave generously and advanced the careers of many actors. The Man deserves to be remembered well.

Come to Daddy: Elijah Wood isn't a bad actor. The film itself is alright, a little too much torture porn at times but still pretty alright. Captain America: The Winter Soldier: Easily one of the best of The MCU, if not the best. Chris Evans is a great action star. Midsommar: Speaking of torture porn... Mostly kidding. I kinda want to watch the original The Wicker Man because there are some real parallels here. Aladdin and The King of Thieves: It's an okay straight to video Disney sequel. I Love You Both: Hulu likes to recommend me really cringy movies. I watch them so it keeps on recommending them to me. It's not that good of a film, a kinda sorta comedy about fraternal twins that both develop feelings for the same guy. It's almost the same film as The Skeleton Twins only neither of the stars have the same charisma. Mayhem: This was tons of fun... also a little unsettling given current events since part of the premise is that there's a virus that makes people go a little insane and an early scene shows how easy it is to spread. The Hustle: I am, 100%, all for films that give women in Hollywood more to do. The irony that they remade Dirty, Rotten Scoundrels with a genderbent cast is not lost on me, keeping every plot element including the ending, is not lost on me. It's Rebel Wilson making more of the usual Rebel Wilson jokes, It's Anne Hathaway doing an accent, it's pretty run of the mill. Scream, Queen! My Nightmare On Elm Street: A fascinating look at A Nightmare on Elm St. 2, It's Star Mark Patton, and Gay Hollywood in the 80s. There's a lot of be admired though certain interactions could have went better. Still worth a watch. The Road to El Dorado: A film I have mainly avoided over the last two decades. It never appealed to me. Watching it today, it's decent and fun. It is also definitely a memeable and queer as I had been lead to believe.
