1) Why would anyone remake Terror Train?
2) Why would they release a sequel to the remake less than two months later?

Nutty Professor, Dreamgirls, Beverly Hills Cop. I'd say Shrek but I can't make a very convincing argument for why.

Don't get too excited. So far, the news has been reported by one fan site. if it happens, awesome but I would think Avatar Studios would have made an announcement.

The way I watched Happiest Season and kept cheering for Kristen Stewart to end up with Aubrey Plaza over the actual love interest.

Just found out that The Hardy Boys apparently enter the Public Domain next year. Maybe we can get a decent film where they take on Dracula.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show - One of my new favorite shows. I like getting a sense of an era through media, so it was nice to see the transition out of the 60s into the 70s. Mary's such an endearing character, and I really loved how the supporting cast developed. Ed Asner was fantastic as Lou Grant, he's probably one of my favorite TV characters now. I'm actually even considering watching his drama spinoff. My enjoyment of the show increased with every season, which I don't find very often.
I have been throwing on random episode of Mary Tyler Moore the last few months. Everyone is great. I had some doubts that I would remain so engaged when Rhoda and Phyllis both left but then they upped Betty White to regular Status and it all came together for me.

In the states at least, it moved over to HBO Max. I did a quick search. It looks like it might be available via Teletoon in Canada which you can get as an Amazon Channel. Might be worth checking on.

I was down on Batman Returns for years but coming back to it last year, the Selina Kyle story is excellent. Likewise, Christopher Walken is having the time of his life. The Penguin stuff, I can give or take but, if someone is going to say Die Hard is the best Christmas Movie of all time, my new response has become, "Nah, it's Batman Returns." Do I believe that? Fuck no but it's answering on their plain of thinking.

Sound of Music. It's not even close.

I've had complicated thoughts on Jason David Frank over the years but he was a childhood hero for so many people and was good with his fans. He'll be missed.

This might have been one of my favorite episodes of Season 1! It's a Three for 2 since, by neccesity, we discuss Browing's Dracula!

As Iconic as Glenn Close is as Cruella DeVil, it's always going to be the original for me also.

Sleeping Beauty.

So happy for your new prospects, Ian!

Hook. No qualifier needed.

It's been years since I've watched Trainspotting but Trainspotting.

I always forget that El Santo movies are an option when I'm looking for something to watch. Definitely gonna have to correct that more often.

Space Jam
Cinderella but Ocean's Eleven is very close.

Well, that just found it's way to my Letterboxd Watchlist.

Honestly, Jason and Julia are the best actors of the bunch. It's why Julia got as much work as she did post-Seinfeld. Jason has kept working since. Just true professionals!

Apologies in advance if it's blocked outside of the US but it should never be understated how important Nichelle Nichols was to both Popular Culture but also civil rights. RIP Legend!

Further tease: Next episode that should be going up features a film I picked so that should give you some idea of it's level of quality.

Probably Melody Time over X-Men but just barely.
Sweeney Todd definitely over Ichabod and Mr. Toad.
The Shining over The Dark Knight. Both are great films but The Shining has that extra oomph!
-
Fantastic Four because I can actually remember that film.
The Mummy Returns because it doesn't have a segment with a song about showing love with violence.

Tough one but leaning Knives Out. Both are incredible films though.
