  9. More is on the way, I assure you. FOUR BULLETS FOR DILLON was supposed to be out this month but due to personal stuff as well as my working on projects for Pro Se Productions (The Sovereign City Project) as well as a book I'm co-writing with Joshua Reynolds for Airship 27, it's been pushed back to next month. But if anybody needs a Dillon fix, I'll tell you what...for the rest of the day, anybody who sends me an email with "Gimme!" in the subject line will get a PDF of DILLON AND THE JUDAS CHALICE.
  10. Dillon is the run with the bad guys hot in pursuit and an unwilling ally in tow! But how long can he stay one step ahead when Her Majesty's Secret Service joins the hunt for him? You'll find out in Chapter 2 of "Dillon And The Voice of Odin"

    Episode 174

I like Spike Lee but I have to admit that in most of his movies he's less interested in telling a story than he is in exploring his own issues with race/politics/sex/whatever. But BAMBOOZLED does tell a solid story and he gets amazing performances from Damon Wayans, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Michael Rappaport and Savion Glover.

    Episode 174

This was an absolutely engrossing discussion that engaged me from start to finish. It went from being funny, to being deep and downright philosophical. I agree with your double feature of NETWORK and VIDEODROME and I'd add these two movies if anybody wants to make a full day of it: A FACE IN THE CROWD and BAMBOOZLED. Right there you've got the four best movies ever made about Our God Television.
  15. Ron Fortier, the Air Chief of AIRSHIP 27 http://www.airship27.com/ has done it again with a review of DILLON AND THE LEGEND OF THE GOLDEN BELL which you can find right here: http://pulpfictionreviews.blogspot.com/2010/06/dillon-legend-of-golden-bell.html

  17. There's the story told about an exchange Sir Laurence Olivier and Dustin Hoffman had during the filming of MARATHON MAN. To prepare for a scene where his character had been up all night with no sleep, Hoffman did in fact stay up all night and reported to work on set looking like a wreck. Olivier, upon seeing him, exclaimed; "Dear boy, you look horrible! What happened to you?" Hoffman explained he'd stayed up all night to get in character. Olivier said to him that there was an easier way to achieve the effect Hoffman was looking for. "What's that?" Hoffman asked. Olivier's answer: "It's called acting."
  18. I threw in my vote for ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST. If you've got to start somebody on westerns then why not start them with the best one?

  20. Another eXistenZ fan! I knew there had to be more of us out there somewhere. GATTACA and eXistenZ are two of the most underrated science fiction films ever. And when I say science fiction I mean real science fiction, not an action or horror movie in sci-fi drag.
  21. He's earned the right to be a dick.
  22. Ron Fortier, the Air Chief of AIRSHIP 27 and an awesome writer in his own right has been good enough to review the Pulpwork Press anthology HOW THE WEST WAS WEIRD. Bounce over to read the review here: http://www.pulpfictionreviews.blogspot.com/ then hop over to the AIRSHIP 27 site http://www.airship27.com/ for information on their amazing pulp influenced projects.
  23. We've got a new site update on our blog for your enjoyment, including a review of GREEN ZONE in the Movie Review Notebook and new sneak peeks! Also, remember to check out our Facebook page! http://www.pulpworkpress.com/ And if you're a fan of Josh Reynolds (and if you're not then you should be) then you certainly want to get in the ground floor of COUNTESS OBLIVION, his new serialized tale over at REVENANCE! http://revenance.alteredvisions.org/countessobliviongatefold.htm
  24. Details, details...see me when I get back
  25. I've heard and read a lot of negative fuss about the movie and I don't understand why. Did the movie have Titans? Yes it did. Did they clash? Yes they did. Truth in advertising goes a long way with me. Or maybe I'm just easy to please.
