  1. Mortimer

    Episode 169

One of the funniest reviews I've heard in a while!! Prince of Darkness was always a guilty pleasure of mine.
  2. There's a lot of good ones out there. My personal favorite is this one from Dr. Strangelove. "I think it would be extremely naive of us, Mr. President, to imagine that these new developments are going to cause any change in Soviet expansionist policy. I mean, we must be... increasingly on the alert to prevent them from taking over other mineshaft space, in order to breed more prodigiously than we do, thus, knocking us out in superior numbers when we emerge! Mr. President, we must not allow... a mineshaft gap!"
  3. Even though I wasn't a major fan of this series, I was very much looking forward to seeing Dylan Baker as the Lizard. Sad to see that won't happen. Spider-Man 3 was an ugly disaster but even I didn't expect this type of damage to the series.
  4. Unless they throw in famous characters that the general public is already familiar with, like the Joker or Lex Luthor, I don't see this happening. If it featured villains like Deadshot or Captain Boomerang, it would flop tremendously at the box office because most people have no idea who these characters are. That's too much of a gamble for a movie studio.
  5. 10.The Adventures of Tintin 9. Mighty Max 8. Earthworm Jim 7. Freakazoid! 6. The Real Ghostbusters 5. Animaniacs 4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3. Ren & Stimpy 2. Batman: The Animated Series 1. The Tick
  6. I'm very thankful I wasn't eating or drinking anything during Mike's synopsis of the second part of War World. I forgot just how mediocre these early episodes of Justice League really are.
  7. I totally didn't pick up on the whole alien Carter having to avoid sunlight for two years. You guys are great at picking up that kinda stuff. I love Justice League but I personally can't stand John Stewart in this series. He has this holier-than-thou attitude which makes Batman look tame in comparison.
  8. Thanks for the welcome and suggestions. I'm gradually trying to get back into comics so I'll try to look into those. I did buy a Jonah Hex trade last month which I found kinda 'meh.' Hopefully I've just had bad luck in finding good stories and haven't actually outgrown comics in general.
  9. I always had to order my comics through the mail and I quit collecting two years ago because I just got sick and tired of the neverending 'epic storylines' that resulted in endless crossovers. I absolutely despise this marketing gimmick. And since there isn't a comic book shop within 100 miles from where I live, I'm unable to discover new comics that don't fall into this category.
