Donomark
Gotta say this is the first of the promotional material that really looks stupid to me. I'm still kinda down for an out of character, hilariously racist Batman because WTF not, but this is just silly. Batmobile bouncing off is cool doe. Davedevil
So this is the context behind "Do you bleed?" A petulant Batman is always fun for me, but that's just silly.
Donomark
Well...http://teamcoco.com/video/zack-snyder-superman-clipThat Bat-Voice is kinda crap. Too static-y and crunchy for my tastes. Edited January 14, 2016 by Donomark
Koete
Yeah, the effect on it isn't helping.
Donomark
Cavill's perfect in the role, still. The line "Consider this mercy" is a bit too...badass/trying too hard/not really Superman, but Cavill sells it. He's absolutely nailing it.And I'm liking the Bat-Suit more and more. That's the best cowl ever done, they finally cracked the code. That tint of black looks great.I am still having trouble seeing Batman though personally. It's not Affleck's fault that he can't stop looking like himself. He's doing a really good job, but I can't shake the fact that it's him and not Bruce Wayne. Pan-dub
That Bat-Voice is kinda crap. Too static-y and crunchy for my tastes.I disagree, I kinda like it. Reminds me of Frank's echoey, spooky voice from Donnie Darko that freaked me out, with a more cyberised quality. In trying to make legitimate super heroes it's a good way to mask the voice of a well known billionaire without resorting to growling. Donomark
Dammit...I'm hyped for this movie! It's probably gonna be bad! It could be REALLY bad, but I'm down! It's all pretty exciting!And...is Affleck's voice growing lower and more digital throughout that clip? Is that voice effect his own voice? WTF?! JackFetch
I think it's going to make a lot of money, and comic fans are going to hate it.
Missy
Henry Cavill's exposed chest hair. The "even a 1% chance" speech.
Dread
I'm 100% with Mike. I will no longer look at anything else to do with this film until it's out. They're showing too much.
Koete
Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne being white hot angry is why I'm here for this.
Missy
And...is Affleck's voice growing lower and more digital throughout that clip? Is that voice effect his own voice? WTF?!Yeah, in his rage he's transitioning from Bruce Wayne to Batman.
Donomark
Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne being white hot angry is why I'm here for this. It's pretty awesome to see on film Bruce Wayne being so gung-ho to become Batman again from a Batman-like mindset. Like that dialogue he's spouting he might as well be wearing the costume. That kind of characterization is new for the movies. Even with Bale, in Rises when he comes back it's like "Oh I guess I'll be Batman again"
Rjoyadet
Is this the first live action Batman movie that acknowledges Bill Finger in the credits?
Donomark
It will be, yas
Koete
I love Angry Bruce, but Jeremy Irons might steal the show.
Donomark
Ok with this trailer we've seriously been given the best Batman action that's ever been done on-screen. It's kinetic, hard-hitting and looks good. There's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot of the classic batarang towards a gun trick that IDK if I remember ever seeing in live action before...for some reason. Davedevil
There's quite a bit of Dark Knight Returns in the action, with some of the Arkham games.
Pan-dub
..with some of the Arkham games.I could almost see the attack telegraphing markers above their heads
Dan
And in the first, but surely not the last, example of the studios taking away exactly the wrong lesson from Deadpool, the home video release of Batman V Superman is rated R. Gareth
I mean the director's cut will be R, not the 'home video release' per say. The same thing was done with 'Wolverine.'
Davedevil
I'm guessing the R-Rated stuff will be more from the Batman side of things (like Arkham Knight being an M game), but it is really weird to have an R-rating and Superman together. Koete
Yeah, it's a director's cut, so I can't say I care all that much.
