JackFetch
Warner Bros. is ramping up development of “Sleeper,” a long-in-development DC Entertainment property that’s set up with producers Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Jennifer Todd. The studio has brought on the writing team of Shawn Ryan and David Wiener to pen the adaptation of “Sleeper,” based on the series from DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint, written by Ed Brubaker with art by Sean Phillips. The series began publication in 2003. “Sleeper” — set in noir universe where a few people are spontaneously developing superpowers — follows Holden Carver, a man who can absorb pain and pass it on to others, as he infiltrates a criminal organization on behalf of a law enforcement agency. His allegiances come into question, especially when he falls for the alluring killer, Miss Misery. Affleck and Damon have a first-look deal at Warner Bros. through their Pearl Street banner. No director or actors have been attached to “Sleeper.” Lynn Harris is supervising for the studio. http://variety.com/2013/film/news/sleeper-ben-affleck-matt-damon-1200866139/
Dread
Hmm...I was actually really interested in Tom Cruise's take as he had the option on it for a long time. I'm not sure I want to see Damon in that role. Affleck yes. Not to say that they would star necessarily.
JackFetch
I'm thinking Afflec might direct with Damon possibly, but not likely starring. I'm sure it was part of his Batman deal to choose whatever he wanted to direct from DC.
