slothian
Yes, you can help influence not only the film Pandy & I use as the joint review, but the homework we assign each other to plot the range of their career. As announced in Episode 15, our subject will be Heath Ledger.Pandy & I will take an executive decision on what makes the joint review on Sunday 15th March, so get your ideas in before then! NB) Although we'll obviously highlight his performance as The Joker in The Dark Knight, that will not be one of our featured films.
dc20willsave
10 Things I Hate About You put him on people's maps (and he was pretty damn good in it to boot). Brokeback Mountain was what got him his first Oscar nomination and is also probably his best role. I'm torn between suggesting A Knight's Tale or The Brothers Grimm but probably the former though the latter is a good choice as well. Stavros
A Knight's Tale is a must, it has the best product placement ever in a film.
Donomark
I've not yet seen it, but Brokeback Mountain was huge when it came out and he was acclaimed for his performance. That sounds like a must-see.
SteveJRogers
The Patriot could be fun. If only to muse about historical changes once researching to see what a POS Gibson's character was. Also to muse about Mel Gibson in general if there isn't a Mel month in the offering =
org
The Imaginarium Of Dr Parnassus is worth a look, not just because it's Ledger's last role, but also because you get to compare his performance as Tony with Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farell's take on the character.
