Nintendo week: 15-22 July 2018

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

This July - between Sunday 15th July and Sunday 22nd July - we're marking the 35th anniversary of the NES with a full-blown 8 day week dedicated to all things Nintendo. I am directing traffic, and here's the outline:

Sunday    15/07/2018    NES/Famicon
Monday    16/07/2018    Gameboy (and its successors)
Tuesday    17/07/2018    SNES
Wednesday    18/07/2018    Nintendo 64
Thursday    19/07/2018    Gamecube
Friday    20/07/2018    Nintendo DS (and its successors)
Saturday    21/07/2018    Wii/ Wii U
Sunday    22/07/2018    Switch

So whilst each day will be console-specific, you can pitch in with your favourite game(s), or even claim bragging rights to a franchise and chart each entry per console (Mario & Zelda being the most obvious franchises to be snapped up!). And if there's something Nintendo-related that doesn't fit under a particular console - be it a movie, a cartoon show or one of the lesser known pieces of hardware - stake your claim and I'll find a space for it!

Get your proposals in here and I'll give my blessing if it hasn't already been taken by an Earth-2 staffer!

Could talk about any of these for days.

I'll shotgun Zelda and offer to collab with any system.

If they're still up for it, Dubs, James, and I have dibs on The Wizard. We've been itching to do that for years.

I'm in.  Just a matter of getting the scheduling figured out.

I'm gonna sit this one out as a contributor (the only games I know much about are Gen I-III of Pokemon) but I know it'll be fun to listen to.

I will probably do a short piece on Earthbound but that's mainly just because that's my thing.

Since I missed talking about it during 1000, anyone up for talking about Smash Bros? For that matter, I am down for reviewing Super Marios Bros. The Movie or Pokemon The First Movie.

I'm interested in doing something, if nothing else. Admittedly, I don't have the strongest connection to Nintendo, I could probably cover something with someone.

If you want to join me on Super Mario bros., you're more than welcome. Otherwise, if there any Nintendo Franchise or character you enjoy greatly?
