Episode 50

It's longer than episode 49. A lot longer. Forty minutes longer, as a matter of fact. To put this into perspective: clocking in at three hours and ten minutes, episode 50 is nearly as long as Return of the King.

It should be on iTunes, the site and in my sig within a few hours.

Pee Wee Herman was arrested for showing his "pee-wee" at an adult xxx theather showing "Nurse Nancy". Pee Wee paid a fine and a few public service announcements, he was given a clean record and Pee Wee Playhouse closed up shop until Adult Swim. Reubens was arrested again in 2002 in connection with an investigation involving child porn. On March 22, 2004, child pornography charges against him were dropped after he pleaded guilty to a separate "misdemeanor obscenity" charge.

The sad life of Pee Wee.

On August 16, He Will Appear On Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Is it just me or every time he is about to bring back Pee Wee he gets arrested? He is making new Pee Wee movies so we'll see if it holds true. By the way, the "child porn" he had was an art collection that had some photos of kids naked. They have them in art galleries, but Pee Wee can't have them in his house?

Just about finished the episode. Its a little longer than normal and I've been listening to it in my car. Anyway, Jenny, I remember G.L.O.W. fondly as well. Here in Philly it aired at 10AM on Sundays and I would sit there and watch it every week. The lighting was always terrible but it was highly entertaining. For me, G.L.O.W. and NWA/WCW was the wrestling I was brought up on. I didn't really get into the WWF/WWE until the Rock made his face turn during the Attitude era and have since given up WWE almost entirely (outside of Wrestlemania of course). I now watch TNA, despite the crappy production Sting was my hero as a younger fan and I now watch TNA to catch him.

Mike, You should certainly read the remainder of Stephen King's the Dark Tower series. Book two is so much better than book one and deals with different dimensions, time travel, and monsterous flesh eating crabs. Book three is even better and adds in some sci-fi to the mix. Book four is primarily a flash back and deals with witchcraft, rebellion and love but also moves the story forward and has a touch of the Wizard of Oz in it. Book five is straight sci-fi and has nods to everything from Harry Potter, Star Wars and Dr. Doom and King's own story Salem's Lot. There are two other books after that and overall the ride is well worth the time.

I loved the episode. I actually haven't even deleted it which is what I do after each episodie. Probably because when I'm getting into a 'mode' at work and plugging in text and images the best thing to do is zone out and listen to a excellent podcast. That podcast would be my favorite podcast on Earth(2), Earth-s.net's podcast.

Anyway, I wished I could remeber all the things that made my childhood what it was. Your episode made remember them and appreciate them. I'd have to say that Saturday morning cartoons made my childhood the most enjoyable. The Snorks, G.I. Joe, Go-Bots, Transformers, Dungeon and Dragons, Silverhawks, Thundercats, Tigersharks, TMNT, etc.

Jenny, I also loved the TMNT movies. The first was the best and then the second. I did love seeing Casey Jones, who is now an actor on Law and Order I believe. T-u-r-t-l-e-power... teenage mutant ninja turtles (gotta love Vanilla Ice).

I finally finished listening to the show yesterday. I forgot all about the Hitchhiker until you brought it up. My sister and I used to make fun of the guy at the end of each episode. Judging by the things on your lists, we are about the same age. My list would look like this:

1.GI Joe

2.Transformers

3.He-Man

4.Star Wars movies

5.The Last Starfighter

6.everything else

If it wasn't for GI Joe and Transformers, I never would have read comic books. We used to trade comics at school, and I would only trade for them. I actually still have every comic I traded for. The first non TF or Joe comic I read was Warlord. It didn't make any sense to me as a kid since it was more mature. The next was OMAC, which also didn't make sense to me, so I didn't read anything else until I was older.

I watched He-Man all the time as a kid, and would get my friends to give me their comics that came with the action figures.

The Star Wars movies hold a special place in my heart because I would watch ANH at my grandparents house whenever we went over there. They recorded it on one of those new VCR things from some channel called Home Box Office. They had a hundred movies they recorded. They were the original movie pirates.

I had the comic adaption of The Last Starfighter, and noticed some of the scenes were different from the movie. It didn't make sense to me.

I guess alot of things didn't make sense to me as a kid.

Loved episode fifty though it took me three trips to work to listen to it.

I must admit that I to was a Christopher Pike fan. Read him religiously through middle school. He was my stepping stone between R.L. Stien and Stephen King.

Also a bit of triva, Christopher Pike isn't the author's real name it's really Kevin McFadden. He chose the pseudo nym is a tribute to the original Star Trek:TOS captian of the same name.
