Missy
Guitar Hero 2 new release on Xbox 360 this March worldwide Activision announced that the Xbox 360 bundle of Guitar Hero 2 is due for release in both the Americas and in Europe in March, 2007 (Easter). New features of the Xbox 360 version (compared to the PS2 one) are: prettier graphics, additional songs, downloadable content, and the new wired X-Plorer guitar controller designed specifically for this release. Dusty Welch, Head of Publishing, RedOctane, said of the game when it was first unveiled back at X06 last September: “With its large integrated hard drive, Xbox 360 provides an incredible platform for facilitating downloadable content. We believe there is no better title to feature micro-transactions than a music game like Guitar Hero II, where the content is the basis of your experience. The relationship with the Xbox Live Marketplace creates endless possibilities for exclusive content.” Yeah we get it buddy, you want to squeeze every consumer’s wallet dry. But in all seriousness, it’d be nice for Xbox 360 and first time Guitar Hero 2 owners, to be able to download the songs from the original PS2 Guitar Hero game. source

drqshadow
Very cool. I'll avoid buying it for the PS2 then, since I was seriously contemplating it.
McMenemy
I passed up on buying the PS2 version as I knew it was coming out for the XBox, although it'll likely cost about £30 - £40 more than the game for the PS2

McMenemy
Well the release date for the UK is now May - And from the prototype model of the controller, there appears to be a port - possibly for future accessories such as whammy pedals apparantly (according to the Official UK X-Box 360 Magazine)
