You Know Who
I just saw Iron Man 3. My favourite part was the 'Man of Steel' trailer. Amen, Brother Pandy.
JackFetch
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Jor-El a pacifist in the other movies? It's weird to see him with a gun.
Aaron Robinson
Maybe it's an anti-war gun.Maybe it's a tool for fixing planets that are about to blow up, but it malfunctions at a crucial moment.Maybe its like cupid's arrows and the bullets just make people fall in love.Maybe it's a prop that he takes to parties as a conversation peace.Maybe it's a real gun that he takes to peace rallies as an example of what people shouldn't be holding in promotional movie posters.Maybe it's just a really weird back scratcher.Maybe it's a crutch, but the handle is sort of like a gun handle for some reason and it isn't quite long enough. He should really get a new one.Maybe it's the device they use to shoot baby Superman into the atmosphere in this one, but babies on Krypton in this world are, like, super tiny.I can't think of any more right now. NightAngle04
Maybe its just Russel Crowe's Christmas card.
KnightWing
There was reference to "a war on Krypton" in MOS a long while ago. It's conceivable that Jor-El has it for his own defense. He had a gun in STAS, too, even though it was just a laser pistol.
JackFetch
My God, the lens flares. Am I gonna need to bring my sunglasses to this movie?
Missy
About Jor-El being a pacifist: I never want to touch a gun, however, if saving my family means me using one, never doubt that I will.
Stavros
There was a civil war. Someone had to carry weapons to defeat Zod.
Molly
I'm generally a pacifist. That said, there is a shotgun on my home, and I can have it, loaded, in hand, inside of 90 seconds.

JasonC
I'm swinging towards 'Doooom' again.
Stavros
So this film holds the record for the two most dissimilar trailers of all time. Clearly they were worried that the soft myth trailer wasn't going to draw the punters because this is all action.
James D.
I'm loving the voice of Zod. That trailer got me pretty fucking pumped for it and I was already going to see it.
JasonC
I was so pumped for it that I booked a seat for the largest IMAX screen in Europe (according to the website anyway). Then I see these action trailers and I start wondering if I can get a refund.

JasonC
I was so pumped for it that I booked a seat for the largest IMAX screen in Europe (according to the website anyway). Then I see these action trailers and I start wondering if I can get a refund. On the basis of what? Did that trailer intonate bad things to you? I really don't know. Well, actually I do. The whole thing about Superman is that he's alone. There's no Krypton, very few other Kryptonians. Now, it looks like there's a whole damn army of them fighting it out on Earth. How is this different from a thousand other 'invading-alien-army-overwhelms-earth-except-for-the-one-reason-to-hope' movies? All they've done is shoehorn Superman in it and called it Man Of Steel. I hope I am wrong. I want to be wrong. But I have been burned by too many sub-par superhero movies to get my hopes up. I should know better than to judge by the efforts of the MCU. JackFetch
The (I believe) first review is out from a screening in Australia. It's not from a critic, but a fan. It does have some light spoilers, and one big one about the ending so beware.
NightAngle04
I did not care for that "review" at all.

NightAngle04
Nah, I'm just going to write a review of a movie and not tell anything that happens. But the music was great.

Gareth
Much like with TDKR, Nokia has given us an unneeded but incredibly awesome trailer...
