D-Man
Then why, why, why release these pictures that make Thor look like the biggest Douche-Nozzle ever? Just awful.
prez
I kinda like it. The armored part looks fantastic, actually. But, yes, the photoshopping is truly horrendous.
KnightWing
I wonder if these are the images being released to merchandising partners, like Hasbro? That would make sense, since those images always look more photoshopped and plasticky than the actual photos do.
MaxPower
It's not that bad, would have preferred the brown/tan coloured boots, but I can understand why they've done it this way. Definitely needs the helmet though.
KnightWing
He has the giant-winged helmet in the film.
Molly
He has the giant-winged helmet in the film. I swear to god, if he doesn't, I'm coming and Asgard is coming with me.
KnightWing
IGN's movies podcast claims to have seen it during their set visit.
slothian
I don't read comics, but shouldn't Thor have a mighty hammer rather than a luminous mallet?
MaxPower
Just looking at the pics again, they're definitely had seriously plastic/fakery work done to them. His hair and skin colour looks ludicrous, so in real action it should look a lot better.
KnightWing
I don't read comics, but shouldn't Thor have a mighty hammer rather than a luminous mallet? That *is* a mighty hammer. It always looks like that, though it's better in motion. (fast-forward to the 4:20 mark)

KnightWing
Holy F. That bit starting at 3:08 is awesome.
MaxPower
Agreed, that bit at 3:08 is bad ass. The look of Hopkins isn't what I was expecting, but it looks pretty cool with the bushier beard on the chin. I don't want to get my hopes up too much for this, but, well the lid is nearly off...... JackFetch
Portman and Hemsworth have great chemistry in the interview. I'd be surprised if they weren't dating.
MaxPower
Isn't he dating Miley Cyrus or is that his brother? Strike that, it's his brother. Go the Aussies if he is dating Portman! Edited June 11, 2010 by MaxPower

SuaveStar
I can't tell if that looks stupid or not.
Missy
Same here. I need to see it in motion.
dc20willsave
To me, this depends on their approach. If they go with the Asgard being advanced beings like in the comics as of late, I can see these costumes working. If they're actual Norse Gods, umm, yeah. Overall, I'll agree that I'll wait until I see it in motion to pull judgement.

MaxPower
At least it doesn't look like fake rubber, like those first pics.
KnightWing
I find it funny that Thor is holding his hammer in-hand like that. I hope he ALWAYS carries it in the film, ALL THE TIME.
JackFetch
It doesn't look rubbery to me here.
dc20willsave
In that lighting, it looks downright cool.
