JackFetch
I'll just leave this and walk away. While technically safe for work, you probably don't want to get caught watching it there.

Missy
This morning at the gym, I had the following conversation with The Wife: The Wife: I just saw a music video for that movie with the black guy who lives in New York and thinks he's Asian. Dragon-something. Me: The El DeBarge video? The Wife: Yeah, that one. Me: The Last Dragon. The Wife: That's it! I haven't seen that since... I was nine, I think. We should watch that tonight. Stavros
Still 5 days from getting proper internet at home. All I got is university library and my Kindle, no streaming video, no NFL, no TV shows. Going to be an itchy week...

James D.
There are few things in life that can prepare you to see a random black dude on the sidewalk dressed up in a Statue of Liberty costume trying to get people to come in and get their taxes done. Stavros
Situation- I've been informally cast as an eccentric billionaire in a friends spanish-language soap opera project for uni. Question- If I get tan for the role is it just another form of blacking up? Is self-tanning lotion just another kind of boot-polish?
Missy
It's all in how you play the part. As long as you don't talk or act in a stereotypically blackface (or, in this case, Spanish) way, you're fine. Put it this way: play a Spanish Richard Branson, not Al Jolson. I'm going to struggle to speak the language (I have very little spanish myself) but I'll try, although the fact that it's a soap opera means toning it down is tough. Currently thinking I'll play it like Alec Baldwin did his hispanic double in 30 Rock. Too much?
dc20willsave
Not at all. As a person who occasionally watches Telenovellas, Alec Baldwin is great if you're playing the villain. However, a good example would be Bruno from La Madrastra. Here's some research:
