Stavros
I've picked out 5 films to watch in cinemas during my two weeks off- Hurt Locker, The Final Destination, 500 Days of Summer, District 9 & Funny People. That should keep me entertained and enable me to get up to date before Up comes out.
JackFetch
I can no longer deny the fact that Bing is better than Google, and have changed my home page accordingly.
MaxPower
I can no longer deny the fact that Bing is better than Google, and have changed my home page accordingly. Blasphemy! But seriously, is it speed, the actual results (ie top 3 are always what you are looking for) or something different? I used some of their other stuff (news and maps) and found them really bad, and as I use them a bit, I stuck with Google. That said, I like the idea and look of wotnews.com and go to that a bit. Missy
I've read some recent issues of Deadpool, but I haven't seen this explained: what's with the white narration boxes? I know the yellow ones are his psychotic side, but the white are what exactly?
Venneh
The white is his slightly -- slightly -- more rational side. I think.
Missy
When did they start using them? I mean, I think I recall an issue of something where the yellow boxes came back and Deadpool was very happy with that, but I don't know when the white ones first popped up. Venneh
Uhm, Way's been using them since the beginning of his run, I'm pretty sure. That's about as far as I know.
Missy
I think I recall seeing white ones near the end of Cable & Deadpool or in those issues of Wolverine: Origins DP guested in. EDIT: Maybe it was those issues of WO, 'cause Way wrote those. Edited September 3, 2009 by Yoda
prez
Yeah, the white boxes are really starting to bug me. They haven't been explained at all and they don't add as much to the narrative as Way thinks. I like Deadpool BECAUSE he's nuts, so the white boxes just seem superfluous. Molly
It wasn't in Cable and Deadpool, as in the final issue, he got a symbiote on him, and it's voice in his head freaked him out.
Stavros
Regional difference can lead to confusion. Whilst watching football post-night out at a friends place in London a few weeks back I was less than impressed with some of the play. Now back in Bristol we have a huge amateur football league that is contested on Durdham Downs, a massive grassy area in the middle of the city next to Avon Gorge. Because of its location its known as the Downs League. So when I referred to the amateurish play on the screen as "total Downs League" I really honestly was not saying that the players are acting as though they had downs syndrome, which was the automatic open-mouthed appalled conclusion of the 8-9 people in the room. It took a good couple of minutes for me to realise what they thought I had been saying, and another couple of minutes to explain what I'd meant. I figured they'd know, half of them have lived in Bristol at some point!

Stavros
Russell Crowe challenges Journalist to duel! A cycling duel that is. If only Russell Crowe settled all his differences in this manner. I gotta say this whole story just makes me like him more.
