...That is so beyond perfect.

It says she's a new character named Tauriel, a Woodland elf. Woodland elves' names are Sindarin in origin. Looking up the "Taur" prefix in my Sindarin guide, it means "lofty/high/sublime/noble." "Riel" means "garlanded maiden" or "princess." So, in all likelihood, she's a Mirkwood princess, which would probably make her Legolas's sister.

Why would someone on a news site post Evangeline Lilly related news without a picture?

Something truer words something something never been said.

That would be the only reason to read it. Her acting was the one detraction from the first two seasons of Lost.

Oh god they're being shot in 3D :madgo:

On another note: Who is Evangeline Lily? She seems to be pretty damn attractive in a bikini anyway..

Lily was on Lost. She played an alright character who got way too many episodes, almost all of them terrible. As for it being filmed in 3-D, ehh. It's Peter Jackson and you do know that a fair amount of theaters give a 2-D option in addition to 3-D, right?

She was in Lost? That explains why I'd never heard of her. I've never watched an episode, not even the pilot.
