Stovepipe
Doctor Who guest star Peter Halliday has passed away. He is perhaps best known among fans as Packer, the lovably ineffectual henchman from The Invasion. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-mid-wales-17157227 "Packaaaahhhh..." Dan
Forbidden Planet completes their line of Doctor Costume T-Shirts with the release of the 9th Doctor. That link has all 11 shirts. Why dn't I own these?
Missy
I'm not a Super-Four Fan, but that one is the best. Sadly, Three's is rubbish. Though Six's is pretty cool.
Dan
I think they did a good job with Seven, personally.

dc20willsave
Toby Whithouse's story for Series 7 is going to be a genre that hasn't been written in awhile. I'm really hoping this means we get a Historical episode next season.
Missy
I hope so. A pure historical would be wonderful!
dc20willsave
I'm just going to be happy if they lay off World War 2 for a few years. It's become more overplayed than the Daleks.
dc20willsave
According to rumors, Moffat wants Benedict Cumberbatch to play The Master in the 50th Anniversary special.

Stavros
Good choice, although possibly a little close since that relationship is based on Sherlock Holmes. Sure they could make it different enough though, and physically it's interesting to see the Master once again try to imitate the Doctor physically with a regeneration. dc20willsave
I'm choosing to be cautiously optimistic. The problem is Benedict is about to break out. Between the Star Trek sequel and his Hobbit role, I can see if he does play The Master, its going to be a one-off.
Stavros
Plus he was in Tinker Tailor and War Horse last year. However I think he'll stick with doing Sherlock for the BBC since that's what brung him to the dance and due to the relationship with Moffat he could well do this, especially for a big deal like the 50th anniversary. The Master can afford to regenerate more than the Doctor. Leave his fate open at the end of the episode and then you can kill him in the next appearance if need be. Interesting to see how they deal with his return though, would it mean Gallifrey's return?
dc20willsave
Make the Black Guardian the villain and he plucked The Master out of the timelock to be his Champion in some kind of game against The White Guardian.
JasonC
According to rumors, Moffat wants Benedict Cumberbatch to play The Master in the 50th Anniversary special. Oh. My. God. This NEEDS to be true. I don't care if its a one-off.
KnightWing
It'd be cool if The Master was actually either Holmes or Moriarty in reality (not the modern one from Sherlock, obviously).
dc20willsave
The more I think about it, the more I like my idea for the anniversary. In the series leading up to the 50th anniversary special, the Doctor gets hints that something is up. We find out The White Guardian us been peeping the Doctor for the right to lead his champions for the existence of all time. We then get a reveal that the previous Doctors and companions they could get are the Champions. Then we het The Black Guardians Champions. Let's say The Master, The Dream Lord, Restac, Madame Kavorian and the Silence, and The Daleks (Because let's face it, there need to be Daleks.) Also, maybe we find out that The Black Guardian is the one who tried to blew up the TARDIS.

Stovepipe
Sadly, Philip Madoc, another cool Doctor Who guy, has passed away. He played Eelek (The Krotons), The War Lord (The War Games), Mehendri Solon (The Brain of Morbius) and Fenner (The Power of Kroll). http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-17255287

Dan
They all look pretty good, but the The Empty Child deserves special recognition. Both as a piece of design in and of itself, and as a PERFECT recreation of a 70s Target cover.
