dc20willsave
Is it a good time to say, that I hated Torchwood? Did you watch just the first series or did you also watch Series 2 as well as Children of Earth?
SuaveStar
Is it a good time to say, that I hated Torchwood? Did you watch just the first series or did you also watch Series 2 as well as Children of Earth? Just the first series, it was so bloody awful, and so much stupid "Sexy action!" like the alien who has sex with people then absorbs them, I just didn't enjoy the show. I've heard it gets better, but I just couldn't enjoy it.
Missy
The first season is a very mixed bag, but the show really picks up during the second and third seasons, suavestar. You should give 'em a shot.

The romance alone between Ianto and Jack is one of the contributing factors of awesome. You won't regret trying out series 2.
SuaveStar
Alright, I'll give season two a shot. But if it sucks, I get to say to you both that you'll rue this day.
Koete
The Tenth Doctor's regeneration scene into the Eleventh still gets to me.
Dan
Russell T Davies' book "A Writer's Tale" is being re-released with 300 new pages of material covering the making of the 2009 specials. SFX Magazine has an article covering 20 Things We Learnt from The Writer's Tale: The Final Chapter. Including the identity of the Woman in White... Koete
4. Yet another was a kind of Star Trek pastiche - essentially “the Doctor on board the Enterprise, puncturing all that Starfleet pomposity with this sheer Doctor-ness”. That would have been awesome. Derrick
Is it a good time to say, that I hated Torchwood? I didn't hate TORCHWOOD but it simply bored me to no end. At least until CHILDREN OF EARTH. If the rest of the series had been as outstanding as CHILDREN OF EARTH I'd have watched it more.

Stavros
Listening to the 8th doctor radio dramas. Is there any reason why they can't do a two doctors with Paul McGann? He would seem like the best candidate.
Guest tnr105
I am relatively new to Who fandom, I don't own any on dvd (those dvd's are expensive) But let's just say the internet fairy is kind to me. Tennant was my first doctor and I was saddened by his departure. I am however, looking forward to Matt Smith. Everybody's laughing about the "Nose? I've had worse" comment and how the actors take the piss out of themselves after regeneration. What doctor's honker (the worst) do y'all think Smith was talking about? Just wondering which doctor you think he was paying tribute to.

Guest tnr105
Pertwee had quite a schnoz. I agree, though out of the modern era, the ninth doctor had the biggest nose.
jakob1978
Pertwee had quite a schnoz. yes, it's well known that Pertwee didn't like to be filmed in low angle shots, because he didn't like how big his nose and nostrils were (which is why Terrance Dicks, script editor for the whole of Pertwee's era, put in a joke in Tom Baker's first story where the Doctor comments that "the nose is a definite improvement"). Missy
Before Doctor Ten enters the TARDIS for the final time, Ood Sigma says, "This song is ending, but the story never ends." Do you think that was Russell T. Davies' subtle way of erasing the 13 lives rule? What I mean is, the Ood can see the future, so having one of them say something will "never end" should carry some significance.
Guest
I hope not. I know I'm probably alone on this, but I like the finality of Thirteen being the absolute last. Granted, he won't be.
Dan
I have to admit I kinda like the idea that the Doctor has an end date as well. But as you say, there's NO chance that will happen.

Missy
I might be, yes. But the reason I'm keen on the idea is because I believe Davies has said you could work around the rule with one line of dialog. That might have been his attempt. Koete
I don't really see how a line spoken by Ood Sigma magically negates the regeneration limit.
Missy
If a psychic who's never been wrong says something like that, it seems to tell me he's implying something. In this case, The Doctor will never truly die.
