Question for novel readers

Recommended Posts

If you are reading a horror/dark sci fi thriller, is the third chapter too early for a descriptive sex scene?

If we know the characters well enough and the sex scene fits the story and / or characters' motivations, it's never too early.

Thanks. It isn't absolutely integral but it does round out a rogues gallery and create tension and motivation for the supporting cast. Plus it'll be damn good when it's done. :D

In my experience, it's never too early for a sex scene. It can start on the cover.

Pictures. Pictures are good.

Oh, and diagrams.
