Missy
Like the question says: Which was more addicting?
Cheap Heat
Dr Mario, with his PhD in cool.
Mr. Keith
Wasn't a big fan of either games, really, but if I had to choose then definitely Tetris. It was more classic of a game and all around much more fun.
Cash
Tetris got me started on these types of games... but Dr. Mario would be played before I went to school in the morning... with my mom or dad... and I'd be late. That should say something right there.
Missy
While Tetris is very addicting and is widely considered to be the most addicting video game ever, I have to go with Dr. Mario. As each level began anew and the viruses piled hire and hire, I found myself closer and closer to the edge of my seat and couldn't stop playing -- even after losing. I had to try it again. And again. And again.
slothian
Dr Mario is a great game: I'd do exactly the same as Yoda did. But Tetris has the edge just because it's so playable. It's also probably the reason that the Gameboy did so well when it first came out, although I expect people to disagree with that...
Missy
Yo quite right. The success of the GB was hinged on Tetris, 'cause that initial Mario game blew.
S-T
Tetris, with a disclaimer: I'm talking about the original Tetris, put out be Tengen for the NES. It was 2-player simultaneous, and thus was far superior to Nintendo's version. However, both versions of Tetris beat Dr. Mario.
JCC
Tetris, definitely. Dr. Mario's pretty addictive too, just nowhere near as much.
