Koete
The number of American Idol episodes I'm going to watch just went from 0 to 1.
Dread
I adore 30 Rock and full on believe it's only getting better, but I don't know how much longer I can take Julianne Moore's Bostonian accent...
Nicolette Opal
Yeah. She's not very good at it. Which is a shame, because I love seeing Jack so smitten.
Stavros
Isn't it deliberately the strongest most annoying accent? Because I think they are playing it for comedy I can handle it. If I thought they were serious I'd be annoyed.
Nicolette Opal
Yeah, I could see it being bad on purpose...but the Boston Teens did the accent much better. I think she just may not be very good at it.
Dread
I don't have a problem with the accent. It's the way she contorts her face when doing a bad accent. Every Bostonian I've seen has the accent but doesn't need a stroke face to pull it off. Also, is Cliff Claven the only one on Cheers with even a hint of a Boston accent? dc20willsave
Now that I think about it, yeah, Cliff was. Sometimes, tv shows are weird like that. We rarely saw any African Americans on Friends or Seinfeld. There have been so few episodes of anything in San Fransisco that had Asian or gay characters. SuaveStar
Finished season 2 of 30 Rock. All in all, a lot stronger than the first series.
dc20willsave
Finished season 2 of 30 Rock. All in all, a lot stronger than the first series. Season 3 is awesome my friend. Generalissimo and The Fun-Cooker are perhaps two of the best episodes of the series. Also, you get this image: And I cannot describe the number of levels I find that hot on. SuaveStar
Right, I've now seen the Opera episode, and the Steve Martin one, everything from this point will be new to me. Has anyone ever wanted to do what Liz did to get out of jury duty?
Stavros
Twiglet- As far as vampire movies go, this has a lot of style and a nice individual aesthetic. The genre has had the tendency to go hard horror with maxiumum gore, so its nice to see something a little softer. On the other hand, the premise is VERY derivative, even for a genre piece. Its basically one quarter of the elements of the Buffy/Angel thing they built over 3 seasons in two hours, which basically means that you don't feel the relationship nearly as well. Its really just two massively horny teenagers who from what I can tell are really only into each other because the guy is arty and constantly physically and mentally intimidates the other, and she sticks around. There are some really nice elements and sequences, and I'd not be opposed to checking out the sequel but this wasn't something special story-wise. Koete
Twiglet I'm trying to decide if you're talking about Twilight or a crappier rip-off made by the guys who did Transmorphers.
Dread
or a British snack food.
Stavros
Twiglet is the name that british film critic Mark Kermode affectionately gave the franchise. Des is right, its a reference to the snack food, but also to the vast number of people that can't spell Twilight for some reason.

slothian
I've just watched Predator for the first time ever. What an awesome movie it is - aside from a couple of times in the middle of the film, Ah-nold is pretty much believable throughout.

What an awesome movie it is - aside from a couple of times in the middle of the film, Ah-nold is pretty much believable throughout. Probably his best performance as a human. Predator is an awesome film, its got great action, a unique survival horror ensemble for the time and a GREAT beastie.
