Dread
I thought it was a Rick Roll link at first. Then I thought, might be cool if he is Jay Garrick.

NightAngle04
I'm about 30 minutes into Justice League War, does the comic also make Wonder Woman into an idiot? "THIS ICE CREAM IS......... WONDERFUL!!" Good grief. EDIT: WAY too much Batman slurping. This is fuckin awful.
Dread
Yeah, it does. Though, because of inconsistency, she drops the "new to earth" act after a few panels, because...who cares, right?
KnightWing
I'm about 30 minutes into Justice League War, does the comic also make Wonder Woman into an idiot? "THIS ICE CREAM IS......... WONDERFUL!!"Good grief.I actually liked that bit in the comic (it felt more... genuine? ish? Almost like a Lynda Carter moment.), but the movie plays it a little differently. Actually, WW in that movie is horrible overall. I'm sorry, but no one shy of a psychopath is that gleeful (and prideful) about disemboweling her enemies.
Dread
The part in the comic I liked was congratulating the ice cream stand guy that he should be honored for having "the world's best ice cream"
JackFetch
The CEO of Warner Brother Pictures says a new DC film series will be announced soon. "As for DC Entertainment, cross-studio collaboration to make better use of its comic book characters appears to have accelerated considerably since Mr. Tsujihara took over, in part because he eliminated some management layers. (He has not named a chief operating officer and did not replace Mr. Rosenblum and Mr. Robinov, choosing instead to divide up their duties and assume some himself.) Two new television shows are coming to the CW and Fox, including one based on the Flash and another on a young Batman, and a film series will be announced in the near future, Mr. Tsujihara said. It is expected to include a "Justice League" movie. http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=116604 Who do you think it will be? A reboot of Batman with Afflec's version or someone else? NightAngle04
A reboot of Green Lantern or Wonder Woman. I don't think they'll touch Flash since he's about to get his own show.
JackFetch
Watch it just be the Sandman movie we already know about being made into a series.
KnightWing
"Series" could just mean a series of DC movies, a la the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I don't think it necessarily means it'll all be about one character.
Dan
Who do you think it will be? A reboot of Batman with Afflec's version or someone else? The Batman movies pull in a billion dollars each There will be more Batman movies.
JackFetch
Only two of them made a billion dollars, but I see the point.
KnightWing
Adjusted for inflation, most of them would make a billion. But I don't think announcing a new Batman series is a secret worth keeping like that. I still think it's something else, or just the announcement of more "shared" movies in the same timeline. JasonC
Doesn't matter what it is. They'll screw it up somehow.
Dread
Doesn't matter what it is. They'll screw it up somehow. You are aware that we're not that far away from The Dark Knight, which is better than anything Marvel's done to date, right? Shit TDKR was better than most of what Marvel's done and still wasn't great.
Koete
Batman Begins is on that list. And while it has a bunch of little problems and one major one, I think Man of Steel is more interesting than most of Marvel's output, too.
Dread
I'd agree with that. There are only a few of the Marvel movies I would consider as "interesting," though several are "good."
James D.
I think the only Marvel movie that even holds a candle to Batman Begins and The Dark Knight is Captain America. Winter Soldier certainly looks like it could be fantastic, though.
Stavros
Better is subjective. The Nolan films are more serious but the Marvel films tend to be better actual superhero films. Certainly the more irreverent tone of the Thor films fit the genre better than the genocidal city destruction of Man of Steel. I also think the screwing up comment was directed at DCs ability to build a coherent universe, and before you scoff remember Batman Begins and Catwoman came out in the same year. Green Lantern died a death too, so far DCs record on the bigger picture isn't the best. We won't know for sure if they can do it until Men of Steel comes out. Gareth
Other than the first two Raimi Spidy's and possibly Favreau's Iron Man, there's not a Marvel film that I love. DC's output is definitely less consistent, but I'd argue that they reach highs that Marvel films, thus far, have not.
