dc20willsave
It's in the early stages but Warners is starting to develop an all-female Team movie with Margot Robbie producing and starring as Harley Quinn.
Koete
Margot Robbie is an honest to god Movie Star, and it's great to see her pushing that into pitching and producing.

Dread
This is terrible news for the movies, seeing as the comics have gone to shit since he took control of them.

Dread
Yeah, well it isn't a bastion of excellent film-making itself.
Dan
It basically sounds like WB is giving Johns credit for Greg Berlanti's efforts.
dc20willsave
Basically. On one hand, it makes sense to slightly follow Marvel's lead BUT Johns is still Johns.Putting Johns in charge just ensures that Hal Jordan shows up a little quicker. Davedevil
Couldn't you attribute a measure of The Flash's success to Johns though? It's the show he's had the most involvement with, and the one that's doing the best critically and ratings-wise compared to Supergirl, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow. Koete
Supergirl will crossover with the other three Berlanti shows this fall.
Donomark
I get that Johns has been in major positions at DC for years, but the blowing needs to stop. Beyond GL what major things has he done exactly? Justice League was meant to be the new 52's flagship title and wasn't thanks to Snyder's Batman. I know he's the only person who loves Pre-Crisis DC (Didio only likes bits and pieces and Lee just likes Batman), but this notion that he's heading up the movie division being an angel from heaven is time-displaced by a decade or so. Koete
Interesting bit from a great article about the current TV industry. One Hollywood insider points to Greg Berlanti, who this season produced a half-dozen prime-time series for three networks, as an example of how the profit outlook for top showrunners has changed. “Greg’s doing fine,” this insider says. And yet, as recently as 2000 or so, “If you were a guy who had six series on the air, you'd be talking about making hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars. Greg would be Dick Wolf,” our source says. “But he's not.”
Donomark
Rick "Dope" Famuyiwa will now be directing the Ezra Miller Flash movie
slothian
Rick "Dope" Famuyiwa will now be directing the Ezra Miller Flash movieI don't know anything about this man or his projects, but having a nickname he goes by immediately makes me dislike him as a person, regardless of the quality of his output. It's the same deal as I have with Pitof, McG and J.J. Abrams.
dc20willsave
You misunderstand, Ian. He directed a movie called Dope that opened to critical acclaim at Sundance.
Donomark
HahahahahaI talked about it a couple of months back in the 2016 movie thread. Here's a scene from the movie
Delete
I think they may have over corrected from Batman v Superman. Here is the very quippy Justice League trailer
Koete
I don't care what the internet says, that was painfully bad.
Missy
Though I enjoyed that, especially the Barry and Aquaman portions, I'm guessing there won't be as much humor in the final product.
dc20willsave
I'm gonna be cautiously optimistic.
JackFetch
First off, no Superman? Second, why is Batman all the sudden a happy go lucky guy that throws jokes around like he's in a Marvel movie? Edit: I forgot they "killed" Supes. He better show up in this. Dread
First off, no Superman? Second, why is Batman all the sudden a happy go lucky guy that throws jokes around like he's in a Marvel movie?Perhaps because he's no longer in danger of being murdered by an alien? Also, just because he doesn't appear in the preview footage shot specifically for the SDCC teaser doesn't mean he won't be in the movie. In fact I'd be surprised if most of this footage is in the final product. It's so far away from actually shooting.
