Mine: Best Video Game: World of Warcraft.......I haven't been playing much of anything else because of it. Best Movie: Iron Man...............I know most will say TDK, but I'm not one for going with the crowd. Best TV show: Chuck.............This was really hard. This could have been any of 5 different shows. Best song: Nothing................I don't really listen to music anymore, so I don't feel comfortable saying anything was the best. Best podcast: Keith and the Girl...............I've been listening since the beginning and they only get better. Best internet find: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog......................Almost a tie with The Guild. Best comic book: Birds of Prey.....................I hate DC, and yet I loved this book. Marvel went into the crapper this year. Best moment: The presidential election..............I've waited 8 years for that man to leave. Dread Posted December 29, 2008 Report Share Posted December 29, 2008 Best Video Game: I only played Rock Band and some other Wii game where you flip burgers and shit all year so clearly, Rock Band. Best Movie: Ils was released on DVD in North America in 2008 and was the best thing I saw all year. Dark Knight was up there. Best TV show: The Office/30 Rock. A tie between the only two shows I watched all year. I guess I could count Dexter because I've been sporadically watching but I'm a season behind... Best song: Nothing really standing out as the best: GNR's "Sorry", Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" and Metallica's "All Nightmare Long" are all up there. Best podcast: Dread Media. But I'm partial. Seriously, I dropped a lot of podcasts this year that I found were beginning to grate on me. Nobody Likes Onions was the most consistent with the laughs Best internet find: www.warez-bb.org shhh.... Best Movie: TDK Best TV show: I can’t get enough of Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe. I haven’t watched much television this year so it’s not like it has much competition. Best podcast: GFW. It’s a shame it ended. Still, Radiolab and This American Life have been keeping me entertained in its place. Best comic book: Daredevil. I can’t get enough of the guy. Best Internet find: Eh... Best Movie: The Dark Knight. Wall-E was a close second. Best TV show: This is the year I discovered The Wire. Also 30 Rock. Best Album: Not released this year but I've listened to Ash's Twilight of the Innocents more times than I can count these last 12 months. Best Song: Also an old song I discovered this year, Meccamputechture by The Mars Volta. Best podcast: (non-earth-2) The Bugle, from TimesOnline. John Oliver & Andy Zaltzman packed more un per half-hour in their shows than anyone else. Best internet find: Podcasting through iTunes. I got my ipod for christmas last year and all of a sudden I'm listening to at least a couple of hours a day rather than sporadic downloads from specific sites. Best comic book: JSA's been phenomenal, but Walking Dead has been like crack to me. Best personal moment: Standing atop 30 Rock during my trip to New York. Best Movie: The Dark Knight, but it had some serious competition from Iron Man. Best TV show: I don't watch nearly as much TV as I used to pre-strike. Best podcast: (non-earth-2) Word Balloon. Fantastic interview show. Best internet find: The Guild. Hopefully there's more coming at some point. Best comic book: Either Captain America or Daredevil. Best Video Game: Can't really say as I have no next gen console and haven't been able to play Need For Speed: Undercover yet need a new video card 4 PC still damnit. Dark Knight pissed me off too much in places to win me over completely. Best TV show: LOST, Doctor Who (even though those last three episodes can bite me) Best Album: Music really really sucks right now, so N/A. Best Song: Ditto. Best podcast: (non-earth-2) Distorted View/Writing Excuses. Both are super short but packed with content. Best internet find: A really good porn torrent site. No, I will not post a link. Best comic book: Crossed. :devil: Actually, the Action Comics Brainiac story did more for me than anything else this year.
