Koete
Got me a Gene Colan page.
James D.
I got this at Anime Weekend Atlanta 14 (2008): (Shouldn't the forum have auto-shrunk this pic??)
Missy
(Shouldn't the forum have auto-shrunk this pic??) Sometimes it takes a second or two for it to kick in. But it has.
Dread
Leonard Kirk + Dracula=me being done for a while.
Missy
I need $155! Now! Now! Now! For that price one (RE: me) could buy pages 11 and 12 of Union Jack #1. Why does that have me in a tizzy? Those are the two Batroc pages as drawn by Mike Perkins! If anyone wants to buy me a Christmas present, here are the links: page 11 and page 12. (There's also page 10, which leads into the sequence and features a brief Batroc flashback.)
Dread
Below is the first buy of mine, featuring Kaine the first Spider-clone drawn by the man, Mike Zeck. From Spider-Man Redemtpion #2 p. 7. Sorry for the crop but it's the best I can do with my scanner.
Dread
here's p.
Dread
Here's the B&R page. Can't hold a candle to Quitely but I defy someone to tell me this isn't an awesome page. Note the cool coloring and photoshop notes in the margins. Edit: the top of the page is coming across as one long panel and an entirely different image with a magnified panel. Odd. So here's the bottom panel

Missy
You got some really great stuff there, Des!
Dread
Thanks. I should have a few more doozies in the next week or so to put up. The yellowing on the Puppet Master page is from the light. That is as white as the rest of the white on the page.
Dread
Also, Marvel makes it really fucking hard to buy frames. The Zeck pages are 11 1/4 X 17 1/4. The MK page which I'll probably sell soon is 11 X 17 1/2 The B&R page is 11 1/2 X 17.
Dread
Got the Gene Colan Daredevil page. I think I might sell it to pay for another Colan page. It is a cool image form the Joe Kelly run with Battlin' Jack on a bus being driven by Stan Lee.
Dread
Another Gene Colan page featuring Blade jive-talking and stabbing, a page from my all-time favorite horror comic and my favorite horror comics page of all-time all in one day! Chadzilla
As if I don't have enough expensive hobbies. Earlier this year, or in 2008, I bought two Mike Wolfer pieces. The comic book art was Widow's very first appearance in all of her eight legged and fanged glory. From issue three of Widow's Avatar run. Sweet. The other was just an presentation piece of Widow in a more human form. I bought them when I was single. Now that I am getting married again, I am wondering when I will be able to frame the comic art and display it in all of it NSFW glory. Methinks nekkid spider ladies won't be too popular with the future missus.

Dread
Yeah, either a loving tribute to his old collaborator or a suggestion that he should be driving a bus.
Koete
I'm going to side with loving tribute. And after looking through this thread, I believe my birthday present to myself this year will be an original art page.
Koete
I have found a pricey, yet affordable, grail page. Let the saving begin.
Koete
Saving for the aforementioned page has been put on hold in favor of something more affordable. Not naming names, but it is a Gene Colan page,
Dread
I'll probably sell this one but I still really like it. I like the notes and the storytelling quite a lot. This was also one of the only subplots I thought McKeever did really well on Titans. Edit: Tony Daniel by the way.
Koete
Just bought my first page of original comic book art: page 15 from Animal Man #3 by Chas Troug.
Dread
Post it! Post it! Post it! Anyway, my three pages came in. I have to reglue the word balloons on one of them but they look sweet. Including my favorite page of all time which I'll get pictures of up in my Housing Saga thread when it's framed. Still waiting on two Cap Britain pages featuring Dracula and a Marvel Adventures FF page featuring the Thing petting Devil Dinosaur and a Suicide Squad: Raise the Flag page. Then I'll start selling some stuff methinks.
Koete
Here's the page on eBay. I'll post a better picture once it arrives.
