prez
Preview of #6 That looks cool, but I am just SO confused. I haven't read any of the Rip Hunter and the Scooby Gang jump through time books. Is there anything there that's really important to the overall story? TDK_theBatmaN
I haven't read those either and don't feel confused on anything in that preview. I DID read Batman 700, which sets up Doctor Nichols' time/maybe machine, which is important to the Return of Bruce Wayne arc, at least issues 5 and 6. prez
I guess I have forgotten a lot of Batman 700, because I'm just not sure what's going on there. Maybe my recall just isn't very good!
SuaveStar
So, #6....that was a comic. I can't really work out what to make from it, so I'll have to read it again, before I post my full, one sentence thoughts.
Koete
I just got back from the LCS with ROBW #3-6 and B&R #13-16. I'll post my thoughts in the "how many have you read" thread later.
dc20willsave
One thing I liked is that we now have an out to bring Darkseid back. Overall, I liked the mini as a whole. There were parts that were odd but overall, I'm satisfied with how they brought Bruce back. Also, it does cement the inclusion of Final Crisis is DC ever does a Grant Morrison Batman Omnibus. SuaveStar
Yeah, they now have a way to bring back Darkseid. The other thing this issue brought up was that the Time Masters mini-series is ancillary to ROBW, as the events in six, seem to pick up from where they left off in #2 of ROBW, their last appearance. Delete
Preview of #6 That looks cool, but I am just SO confused. I haven't read any of the Rip Hunter and the Scooby Gang jump through time books. Is there anything there that's really important to the overall story? It explains Vanishing Point. Other than that the tie in seems more about setting up the next DC Event that I assume comes when Brightest Day reaches its conclusion. In the Bat books Bruce hints he knows what's coming and that's what he is preparing for with Batman Inc and there is a weird deal with Damian in Batman: The Return. Missy
Reading the ending of Red Robin #17 made me appreciate Bruce Wayne, at least when he's with Tim. I love those two as the Dynamic Duo, and I'm glad to have Bruce back if only for more scenes between this father and son.
prez
I enjoyed Red Robin #17, too. In fact, I'm enjoying all the Return of Bruce Wayne books I've seen, as well.
TDK_theBatmaN
goddamn, Batman: The Return was amazing. I loved David Finch's pages in Batman 700, and this issue was a work of wonderful art. He's really great at drawing Batman's world, in my opinion. The Batcave was great. And I loved the story here
