dc20willsave
I spoke too soon, it appears, and Chicago TARDIS wil lnot be in the cards for me this year. However, a trip to Chicago in April, say, around C2E2, is still very much in the mix. Sorry to hear about Chicago TARDIS but hope you can make C2E2. I'm already envisioning you outside your hotel room in a rocker and yelling "You damn kids!" at passerbys.
Dan
I'm already envisioning you outside your hotel room in a rocker and yelling "You damn kids!" at passerbys. Well, they keep running up and down the corridor and waking me up!

Molly
Honestly, keeping Toland up past 6 is the thing I'm anticipating most.
Missy
It's too bad about Chicago TARDIS, but the C2E2 news is excellent!
dc20willsave
Tickets for C2E2 go on Sale Wednesday.
Koete
On the heels of Christmas music in stores, the question of what I want for Christmas/my birthday came up. I mentioned a round trip ticket to Chicago, so we'll see how that goes.
James D.
I'm going to buy my C2E2 ticket very soon, but which one should I get? Help me out, folks.
Venneh
Go for the three day. It's cheap as hell until the end of the year, and you get more than your money's worth out of it. I've never been really tempted to get the VIP passes, they've never been quite worth the price.
dc20willsave
Yeah, if you're going at least two days of the con, you'll save the most if you get the three day. The last couple of years, the only benefit to getting the VIP ticket is that you get in before everyone else in the queue line and you get guaranteed to get into some of the media panels. Venneh
And let's face it, this isn't NYCC, so there's not going to be 4+ hour queues and getting locked out of panels because of squatters.
James D.
Well, my plan is mainly to hang out with everyone as much as possible. If that means going to the convention for 3 days, so be it. Secondarily, if the Cubs are in town, I'd like to go to a game just to be able to say I've been to Wrigley. (The White Sox, too, if I can possibly swing it.) Plus, my mom insists that I go to the museum while I'm there.
Guest
At least one of my days will be spent at Galloping Ghost Arcade

I went to 4 museums when I was at C2E2 this year and I want to go back to Chicago to do more!! It won't be this year though, due to crippling poverty. Missy
At least one of my days will be spent at Galloping Ghost Arcade When the hell did that spring up?! That has to be new, 'cause there's no way I lived one town over and never heard of that. There's another arcade -- the one I virtually grew up at -- called Haunted Trails. It's a horror-themed mini golf course / arcade. This is what you pass to enter:

Missy
That makes sense. I haven't been back that way in a few years.
James D.
I am ALWAYS down for a cut-throat, unforgiving, endless shit-talking game of mini-golf.
Venneh
PAX East is the week before this. I may have to do both.

However, depending on when you get into town, they are playing on the 12th (Thursday before C2E2). The Sox will be playing the Tigers that weekend though. For museums, if everyone stays at the Grant Park Best Western again this year, the Field Museum is literally a ten minute walk away.
Venneh
Definitely doing both PAX East and C2E2 this year, cause tax refunds make everything better. Combined with admissions decisions, this should be a pretty interesting month..

Aaron Robinson
I was thinking of doing both too. I figure if I'm going to go all the way to America I might as well pack as much into the trip as I can. Although I have no idea what I'd do on the days between the two conventions. Venneh
Assuming that my roomie's okay with it, and that you don't mind Wisconsin, I can offer a place to crash between the two. I'm one state up from where you'd need to be, and I'd be taking a bus down to Chitown. Will, I assume that the threat you made to make a skin suit out of me one night on chat still stands.
