Missy
Though I knew Powers was being filmed in Chicago, I didn't realize it was going to be set in Chicago. Furthermore, it's being filmed literally across the street from Jenny's mom's house.

Koete
The pilot is undergoing retooling and reshoots.
dc20willsave
Now there's talk of if the pilot needs a total reshoot and FX is still on the fence about if it will get greenlit or not.
Dread
Ouch. I wonder if Bendis' padded ego even felt that though.

JackFetch
There is no way they are reshooting the pilot. This thing is dead.
JasonC
damn, I was sort of looking forward to this...
Stavros
With the groundwork in place it might get a second pilot. Many successful shows have had to produce a second pilot because the network wasn't happy with the first one, or recast a major part. That description fits almost everything Joss Whedon has ever done actually. Although for that comparison you have to slightly redefine success. JackFetch
This thing will not die. Now they've ordered four scripts, and might re-shoot the pilot with an all new cast. http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/07/28/powers-tv-series-update-fx-says-full-pilot-reshoot-may-happen?utm_campaign=ign+main+twitter&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social. KnightWing
Looks like Sony's playing Microsoft's game now. Interesting that they're choosing to do a show that doesn't actually have anything to do with Sony's game brands, unlike what Microsoft is doing with their Halo TV series. But then Sony already has a decent relationship with Marvel/Disney, so that might be part of it.
JasonC
So, does that mean I have to buy a Playstation to watch it?
Koete
Charlie Huston will be the showrunner.
Koete
The TV show has been greenlit and is moving forward on PS4 and PSN. Casting is underway, and Bendis claims that new teases are forthcoming throughout this summer. Some concept art helped show off what the show runners are shooting for. The comic is well liked amongst the comic-reading public, and it's a positive sign for the series that Sony chose to highlight the project during the press conference. Powers will be available in the US this December, and PSN users will get to check out the first episode for free, but PS Plus subscribers will get the entire series for free. Dan
Oddly enough I was reading about this project a few days ago. At the time, it had been not-quite-declared-dead because the pilot wasn't sold and the contracts on the actors had expired. Is this a clean slate or are things progressing with the same production team and cast?
