I just had a thought though, in Batman and Son, when Babs is commissioner and Damien is Batman, when Babs said that Damien killed someone close to her, could Damien have killed Dick to take over the Mantle of the Bat? He could have caused the death of Dick. You need to look at that angle to. "The Death of Dick" sounds like something Bendis would write for a Powers storyline.
