Dread
I meant in the sense that everyone I have ever talked to (i.e., NOT critics) has said it was awesome and a great historical film. It was neither. You hang around too many people who took that 9/11 bullshit at the end as "powerful." The fact of the matter is, it isn't anywhere near scorcese's best. It isn't his worst either. And his worst is actually better than most of the tripe in theatres anyway.
Missy
Tom Hardy (Shinzon in Star Trek: Nemesis) has been cast in a lead role in Batman 3. Any guesses who he might play?
Stavros
People who saw him physically in Bronson might say Bane, but he's versatile enough to do quite a few roles.

Stavros
Deadshot is my hope Yeah, I pretty much have faith that they can take anyone in Bat's rogues gallery and make them awesome, but they do need someone who they can do a good publicity campaign around. Bet they wish they hadn't killed Harvey now.
Koete
Hardy was great in Inception, so I definitely give this announcement a thumbs up. I can see him playing Deadshot as well.
dc20willsave
I was actually kinda pulling for Hardy to play Metallo in Man of Steel. Still, I could see him playing Hush or Clayface. They could do Clayface as a master of disguise or something. I just know I want him to keep his accent. I'm uber-crushing on Hardy so this is just awesome news for me. ShaunKL
I've only seen Hardy in ST: Nemesis. From that I'd say that he'd make an awesome Deathstroke, but main comic's Deathstroke is neither that young nor British. We've also already seen Batman vs swords. What non-villain characters could he play?
KnightWing
Hardy looks a lot older now than he did in Nemesis. And Deathstroke uses a lot more guns than he does swords. Also, most of the cast of the Nolan Batman series is British.
slothian
Also, most of the cast of the Nolan Batman series is British. EDIT: To clarify, most of the good guys are British. The villains are either American or Irish. Edited October 14, 2010 by slothian

dc20willsave
The one thing I will note now that I look at it is that Tom Hardy is playing a lead. It does not say specifically that he's a villain. So, I doubt this, but maybe Vic Sage?

KnightWing
The title is official: The Dark Knight Rises Also, Riddler is not the villain. Also, not in 3D.
Stavros
Looks like Scarecrow and Eric Roberts are both certs.
SuaveStar
The title is official: The Dark Knight Rises Also, Riddler is not the villain. Also, not in 3D. No Riddler: Boo! Not 3-D: Yay!
dc20willsave
The more I think about it, more I think Bane might be a good idea for the villain. He could be taking control of the power vacuum that Batman left in Gotham's mob in the last two films.
JackFetch
I really don't like that title. They just added one word to the last one.
KnightWing
Is that any worse than adding a "2" or "3" to a title? How about a "Returns"?
JackFetch
It's lazy and makes it seem like a sequel to The Dark Knight and not the third movie in the series.
Venneh
Well, of course they're gonna call back to TDK, it was pretty much one of the most successful movies in the history of ever, in terms of comic book films. And it gets Average McJoe to realize that hey, this is a follow up to that awesome Batman movie we saw two years ago!
slothian
It's better than calling the film The Caped Crusader.
